than what we are able to do as individual organizations. This will provide education, social activities and health and fitness for seniors in Western Licking County. This is just the beginning of the journey. As the construction of Phase I begins, we are looking forward to raising funds for Phase II, which will provide a gymnasium for needed space to provide new programs. Y Western will remain open through construction and we will communicate service disruptions through notifications at the Y, email and in newsletter. Thank you to our Y Family for all of the help and support!

Continued from front page – Groundbreaking CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Y WESTERN Y Western is now an active construction site. The facility will be impacted in the following ways starting this week: TRACK/BATTING CAGES: Access to the Track area will be restricted with a temporary barrier going up to prevent access to the construction site. The Batting cages have been taken down in preparation. AEROBICS ROOM, CYCLING, CHILD WATCH, MAIN RESTROOMS: We will be able to keep access to these facilities for a majority of the construction for about 6 months. Schedules may change as we add programs into these facilities. DISRUPTIONS: We are now an active construction site. The construction team understands that we are an operational facility and is going to do everything in their power to notify us for any disruptions, but be aware they are coming. CONSTRUCTION AREA: Once the barriers appear, no one is to enter any construction area. This includes after they are finished for the day. NEWARK ACCESS: If members feel that the construction is too disruptive, they can attend Newark with no repercussions under the National Membership. TIMELINE: The facility renovations are set to be completed in 2019. UPDATES: We w ill provide updates at the Y, via email (if you don’t get the Y emails check if we have your address on file), newsletters and more. Thank you for your patience!
