Prelude Chiming of the Hour Welcome
Introit (Hymn 312, vs. 1 and 4)
Take us as we are, O God, and claim us as your own. As once you chose to tell your love in human flesh and bone, So let our lives be used to make your saving purpose known.
Give us to the world you love as light and salt and yeast, That we may nourish in your name the last, the lost, the least, Until at length you call us all to your unending feast.
*Call to Worship Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord and greatly delight in God’s commandments. They rise in the darkness as a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and righteous. For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever. Their righteousness endures from generation to generation.
*Hymn 667 When Morning Gilds the Skies
*Call to Confession
*Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, we are quick to ask for your judgment against others, while being slow to acknowledge the sin in our own lives. We worship you with our lips, but dishonor you with our actions. We pray for an end to the suffering in the world, yet we do not practice compassion and generosity toward others. Have mercy on us, Lord. Give us hearts of integrity and determination, that we might shine forth the light of your salvation, through Christ our Lord. (time for silent confession)
And let God’s people say: Amen.
*Assurance of Pardon
*Sung Response Hymn 447
*The Peace of Christ
Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. And also with you. Let us share the peace of Christ with one another.

We seek to know God's will, to walk in God's ways, and to proclaim the Gospel to all people, by our lives as well as by our words. We work and pray for the progress of knowledge, the promotion of justice, the reign of peace, and the realization of human unity in our time. And we look with faith for the triumph of righteousness in our community and in our world. Amen.

Invitation to the Lord’s Table
Great Prayer of Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord. It is right to give our thanks and praise. Bright shining God, inner light of all faithful souls….who forever sing their hymns to proclaim the glory of your name: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory, hosanna in the highest. Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest. On the night when he was betrayed, Jesus took bread….Therefore we proclaim the mystery of faith: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. By your Spirit bless this bread and this cup….we praise you now and forever, O Eternal Light. Amen. Our Father, which art in heaven…. (hymnal pg. 35)
