Mission Statement The main goal of the Jewels Festival being to bring together the ballet, dance & creative arts of talented and gifted kids, teens and young adults to the communities in order to motivate their drive to dance, produce new art, meet other artists
and to share their work and progress with the community.
For the second year in a row the Jewels Festival would like to present an absolutely new and unique competitionof
CLASSICAL BALLET, STAGE ACTING, CHARACTER AND FOLK DANCE
and workshop experience for all new and current dancers!
The workshops will include MASTER CLASSES of CLASSICAL BALLET, CHARACTER DANCE, and STAGE
ACTING.
The Jewels Festival has a great panel of judges from USA, Japan, Ukraine, Bolshoi Theater
and GITIS (Russian Institute of Theater Arts, Moscow, Russia).
Jewels Festival workshops will be lead by some our FAMOUS JUDGES - Mr. Vadim Pisarev,
Prima Ballerina Mrs. Eleanor D’Antuono and other great teachers.
We hope that all contestants will have a very educated, interesting and exciting dance experience at all that Jewels
Festival 2020 has to offer!
A big award ceremony will conclude the event followed by a gala performance
featuring 20 dancers selected throughout the competition.
Each school will have a great opportunity to invite one or more of our judges for a master class
or workshop at their school.
All the contestants, parents and guests of the Jewels competition
will have a chance to see the exhibition of drawing by young artist of Brooklyn.

COMPETITION
Selection Each Solo, Pas de Deux and Ensemble contestant will have a choice to participate either in the full competition and try
to win the Grand Prix award or can compete in just one dance category (see table below).
Classical Variation, Neo-classical / Contemporary, Character - Folk dance, Stage acting. Solo contestants are age 7 to 23 on the January 2020.
How to accept All participants need to send us a video of one dance (up to 2 min) and registration form.

All participants will get a Participate diploma of Achievement.
Those contestants who attend a full workshop will get a Certificate of Completion the workshop for classical ballet,
character dance and stage acting master classes. Awards in one division – Medal and Diploma (awarded by highest score of one solo in age category)
Grand Prix awards – Trophy and Diploma (awarded by highest score of all solos in age category)
Grand Prix prize – Cash prize, Trophy and Diploma (awarded by highest score of all solos in the division)
Schools who bring ensemble of 3 dances of classical, character and acting will qualified to get a Best School Award
(Grand Prix).
Boys in Ballet – Trophy and Diploma (awarded to boys chosen by our judges
D'Antuono Prize – Special Prize and Diploma (awarded to a dancer chosen by our special guest)

Each dancer who prepares a stage acting dance will have a chance to show this work at the master class, get correction, work on the corrections and show it again before the competition.
