PRAYER FOCUS - FEBRUARY 17, 2019 To activate the Prayer Chain, call/email the church office or text Bonnie (306-229-7139). 1. Missions: Pray for Wayne Senger as he travels back from his mission trip. Here is the update that he sent on the 9th: "Hi to friends, probably my final report before returning. Have been working on a house the last few days, without supervisory help, a few errors, but the house is going up. Some from a Mennonite colony might come next week. We had a good meeting at Drug Rehab Center. Evangelist Leonardo Cingari happened to come for a visit, so we recruited Leo to come with us and help minister to about 22 men. Some were believers who had fallen back, but about six men received Christ. The house we are building is in a nearby neighborhood to us across the Casa Grande Road and half a kilometer west, so the family (Christian family active in Joel and Amber´s Church) may have much opportunity for outreach to the people, the neighbors seem to be friendly. A bit of visiting and a few days in El Paso, but mostly work. Hope to be home Feb. 18. God Bless." 2. Note: Starting on March 3/19 we will begin renting out our church from 3:30 - 7:30 each Sunday to the City of Grace church plant. Please clean up your pew in order to leave the church tidy for this group to enjoy. Thanks for your help.
In April Pastor Dale will focus on mental health and is looking for a few people willing to offer 'cardboard testimonies' to show that we all struggle with something. No speaking required, just a group of people offering a one sentence testimony on a sign. Please contact the church office by the end of March if you are willing to take part.
From the SK Call for Conscience 2019 Campaign: Christians across SK are being asked to review and sign a letter to the Minister of Health addressing our need for legislation to protect healthcare professionals from having to participate in Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), ending their patient’s life. We hope to see14,000 people participate in writing the Minister of Health by the end of Feb. God: He's Not Who You Think He Is! - Job 32-37
Introduction:
A. Elihu's Complaint Against Job:
1. Job says, "I am ________________ - I am suffering for no reason" (33:8-11; 34:5-6).
Implication: God is not __________ - He is mistreating me - the godly should not be allowed to suffer like this.
2. Job says, "Even though I'm blameless, God doesn't _________" (34:7-9; 35:2-3).
Implication: It's a waste of time trying to ____________ God - there's no point in being righteous.
3. Job says, "Where is God -- I demand an _____________ from God" (34:36-37; 37:19-22).
