WORSHIP AT TRINITY

STUDY

WOMEN’S MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDYPaul’s letter to the Philippians, is our next study starting Jan 15. Paul characterizes the Christian life as joy no matter the circumstances, eagerness to suffer for Christ, humility that follows Christ in putting others first, and trust in Christ alone for righteousness. All women are invited to join us for study, growth and fellowship on the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month at 7pm at Karen Onstad’s home. For more info call her at 623-935-4589 or Leader Karen Frusti at 602-828-2268.

THE LORD’S SUPPER: OUR UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICEThe Lord’s Supper is celebrated at this congregation in the confession and glad confidence that, as he says, our Lord gives into our mouths not only bread and wine but his very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with him and with one another. Our Lord invites to his table those who trust his words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as he forgives and loves us, that they may show forth his death until he comes. Because those who eat and drink our Lord’s body and blood unworthily do so to their great harm and because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar, any who are not yet instructed, in doubt, or who are members of a different church other than The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and yet desire to receive the sacrament, are asked first to speak with the pastor. For further study see Matt 5:23f.; 10:32f.; 18:15-35; 26:26-29; 1 Cor 11:17-34.

YOU ARE INVITED TO STUDY GOD’S HOLY WORD WITH US AS WE STRIVE TO BE BIBLICALLY LITERATE, DOCTRINALLY SOUND DISCIPLES. PASTOR BOLTE WILL BE TEACHING 5 BIBLE STUDIES THIS FALL:

THE BOOK OF REVELATION This class is held during the OASIS time slot on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45pm. Using fantastic, graphic images from the Old Testament, the Lord reveals the how His People will be kept safe through the dangerous Last Days. Revelation gives us a Christian worldview and great comfort as we live each day in these End Times before Jesus’ return on the Last Day.

THE BOOK OF ROMANS This class will be held on Tuesdays@11am. Martin Luther called Romans “the chief book in the New Testament and the purest Gospel.” It is the New Testament’s most thorough teaching on salvation and the Christian life. If you are free for an hour on Tuesday mornings, why not make this part of your weekly routine? Come and join us as we study God’s Holy Word!

THE BOOK OF 1 CORINTHIANSThis class is held on Tuesday mornings from 7-7:30am. This is primarily a Trinity Lutheran School faculty Bible study, but if you want to join us, you are welcome! The class is abbreviated, and moves quickly. Class notes will be provided so that you can continue to study at home in more depth and with more time. B.A.S.I.C.S.We will be hosting a 7 week new member class starting Apr 15. We will meet on Sunday afternoons at 4pm. This class is the route to membership here at Trinity. It is a concise review of the key doctrines of the Christian faith and a good chance to meet new people! Childcare is provided. Register online at http://www.trinitylcs.org/about-us/new-members/ or contact Andi at [email protected].

The flowers in the family life center are given by Lauren and Nancy Beam in loving remembrance of Linda A. Bowlby.

ADVANCING THE GOSPEL PRAYER CORNEREach week throughout this campaign kick-off, we will be highlighting the prayer requests of various ministries that take place on our campus day in and day out throughout each week. Please keep these in mind as you go through your week and present them to God with your own prayers and petitions.

Father God, Creator of all things, your servant Paul admonishes us in his letters to pray without ceasing and to pray for all our brothers and sisters. Lord, we lift our brother and teacher, David Bolte, in prayer. We pray thankfully that he was led by You to our church home. We pray gratefully for the love he pours on us through each weekly service and the many bible studies he offers. We pray, Father, that you continue to hold our pastor in your tender care as he prepares to go to a place on this earth often in turmoil so that he may teach You to men who hope to share You in ministry to others. This we pray in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
