NEW ORLEANS, La. (Feb. 7, 2010) – New Orleans Hornets All-Star point guard Chris Paul has made plenty of clutch shots during his bas- ketball career, but in his bowl- ing experiences, he had never thrown a bigger strike than the one he rolled in helping partner Jason Belmonte rally their team to victory in the Chris Paul PBA Celebrity In- vitational at Riverboat Lanes on the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base. Paul’s seventh-frame strike, sandwiched between strikes in the sixth and eighth frames by Australia’s two-handed sensa- tion got Paul and Belmonte back into their title match against Pittsburgh Steelers’ Pro Bowl linebacker LaMarr Woodley and PBA Hall of Famer Norm Duke. And Bel- monte finished the rally with three strikes in the 10th frame to complete the 180-177 come- from-behind win. The other half of the brack- et saw Will Wilson defeat Jim Murtishaw of Menifee, Jer- emy Glover of Los Angeles and Kevin Harlin of Milpitas without losing a single game. The title match was an ex- citing one as Wilson struck out in the tenth frame for a score of 246 forcing Allen to get two strikes and 8 pins for the win. Patrick showed the crowd why he has won so many titles as he stepped up and struck out for the 249-246 victory. The event was a cooperative venture between the Profes- sional Bowlers Association and Paul’s CP3 Foundation which provides financial as- sistance to many organizations in his native Winston-Salem, N.C., and in New Orleans. The competition itself was a Baker Format doubles step- ladder, with Storm Products representatives Duke, Wes Malott, Pete Weber and Bel- monte teaming up with Paul, Woodley and fellow Pittsburgh Steelers star Hines Ward, Grammy Award-winning art- ist and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio also was a contender to bowl in the finals, but he lost a five-frame roll-off against Woodley, 70- 42. Woodley was then paired with Duke for the finals. As expected, the PBA stars threw most of the strikes and converted most of the spares, but because of the Baker Format – where teammates bowled alternate frames – it was the celebrity skills that ul- timately decided the matches. NICOLE ELLISON

Proprietor Extraordinaire...

Hosts PBA Ebonite Open

by Frank Weiler

SAN BERNARDINO—Nicole Ellison has done it again. Hosting her third annu-al PBA Regional Tourney and providing our local bowling fans with a superb show. PBA national exempt players sign-ing autographs, bowling high scores, and mixing it up with the fans during a great Pro-Am were just some of the great go-ings-on during the weekend. Ellison has my vote for BPAA Proprietor Of The Year.

Nicole has my vote because of everything she is doing to promote the sport of bowling and all that she has done to make her bowling center the best in SoCal. DEL ROSA LANES has been voted # 1 in the Inland Empire, by our lo-cal newspapers, every year she has been proprietor.

It all started when Nicole was eight years old, walked into Woodlake Bowl and laced up her bowling shoes for the first time. She just loved com-peting against her brothers and sisters for family bragging rights. That led to her watch-ing the LPBT (Ladies Profes-sional Bowlers Tour) lady pro bowlers on television every week and falling in love with the sport. The ladies tour on television nurtured her dream. That is why ladies bowling on TV is so important to the growth of the sport. It gives our girls something to dream about, something to aspire to.

Though she was a super soccer player, and a member of TEAM USA, bowling al-ways remained number one in her heart. In 2000, Nicole turned pro bowler and was voted PWBA (Professional Women’s Bowling Associa-tion) Rookie Of The Year. In 2001, she was WWPB (West-ern Womens Professional Bowlers) Rookie Of The Year. Ellison bowled on the PWBA national tour for five years, un-til the tour ended operations. When on tour, Ellison’s room-mates were DD DAVIDSON and TISH JOHNSON.

Nicole’s biggest profes-sional bowling thrill was roll-ing a PBA 300 game, a couple of years ago, at a PBA Western Regional Tourney at Arrow-head Lanes in San Bernardino. There were no PBA women’s 300 rings at that time, so Ni-cole has always been kidded about wearing her boy friends (DAVE WODKA) ring. No guys, it’s Nicole’s ring!

Now as a bowling pro-prietor, Ellison has come full circle, kid bowler to top notch owner. Her passion is “HER KIDS,” her junior bowlers.

Nicole’s special thanks go out to her proprietor mentors TOM CRISTI, JIM HORN-ING, BILL MOSSONTTE, and RON PLANTER. Thanks also to the BOWLING NEWS for supporting all SoCal pro-prietors and the PBA Ebonite Open. Also, Nicole wants Dave to know she loves him.

each celebrity strike. In the first semifinal round match, Paul and Belmonte man-

aged back-to-back strikes twice in cruising to a 175-131 victory over Weber and Ludacris.

“(Ludacris) told me he wasn’t that bad of a bowler,” Weber said with a grin. “He asked for some pointers. Didn’t work. We bowled a 131. I think he was pretty nervous. But it was a great time. They were all great guys, very nice, a pleasure to be around. They asked us a lot of questions and, of course, we asked them a lot of questions, too.”

In the next semifinal match, Duke matched Woodley’s strike in the third frame for a double that proved to be the difference in their 165-149 win over Malott and Ward.

“At first I was kind of skeptical about what was going on, bowling with star athletes in other sports,” Malott admitted. “You hear stories about how rude and inconsiderate pro athletes in other sport can be. But these guys were nothing but great to everyone. Being on the naval base was special, something that isn’t an every day event. All in all it was a great event.

“Hines especially was a lot of fun. He’s definitely a man of many emotions,” Malott laughed. “He got pretty excited about a few shots.”

In the title match, a Woodley strike between a pair of spares by Duke in the title match gave the duo a 13-pin lead over Paul and Belmonte, setting the stage for the Paul-Belmonte rally. Following Woodley’s two-count spare in the ninth frame, Duke struck on his first shot in the 10th frame, but left a 4 pin on his second attempt, giving Belmonte a chance to win. The reigning PBA Rookie of the Year threw three strikes in the 10th frame for the win.

“We were bowling the Chris Paul Invitational was for charity, so the idea was to have fun,” Belmonte said. “But I’m a competi-tive person and Chris is an extremely competitive person, so we wanted to win. That was our strategy - have fun, but make sure we won, and we did.

“To put his name on the trophy was our goal from the begin-ning, and we’re very happy to have done that,” Belmonte added. “But bowling with celebrities like Jack and Hines and Lamar and Ludacris and Chris? For blokes like me from Australia, we don’t get chances to do that very often. It was lots of fun.”

“It was a great time and the other athletes seemed to enjoy it as well,” Duke added. “LaMarr and I teamed up great, and Jack was a joy to bowl with as well. To see them wearing a version of my jersey was really cool. It made me want to call my mom and tell her I had made it to the big-time.”

For all of the fun and frolic, the Chris Paul Invitational proved to be a heart-warming event for the throng of servicemen and their families who were invited to attend. Garth Brooks’ pledge netted $7,000 for the CP3 Foundation.

And there may be additional residual effects from the event. “For Chris Paul to put something like that event together was re-ally meaningful to me,” Malott said. “It opened my eyes to what I can give back to my sport, and I’m thinking hard about doing a youth event in my area. I know Chris Barnes does one, but we’ll get it figured out…we’ll make something happen, too.”

PBA Regional continued from page1Marjorie Bradshaw was All-Around Gal at Pioneer Bowl

by Daughter Annette AndersonNORWALK—A small article about my Mom’s death that took her on Thursday Feb. 4, 2010 at

4:35 p.m. for those of you who knew her, from the Pioneer Bowl times between 1972 to 1985. She ran the Youth programs during the day-time and the big Youth League on Saturday mornings along with working as the desk controller, the league coordinator, and participating in the ladies post of-fice league that bowled on Thursday nights. One day she was trying to locate Tina the waitress in the coffee shop to inform her that Julie her daughter was in a bike accident and taken to the hospital, when she took a spill and broke her ankle that could be heard from the coffee shop doors down to lanes 5 & 6 where her husband Harry Bradshaw and friend John were practicing.

She remained involved with the Southeast Youth District for many years helping the youth and her own children grow up in the bowling world. Unfortunately the break was too bad for her to come back to the bowling business and she took courses in accounting for All American Home Center, and worked for them for 22 years.

I took her place as the youth director and involvement in the local associations going from Southeast Youth District to San Gabriel Valley Youth District in 1987 until 1993, when a failed back surgery put me down for close to 2 years. Columbia Bowl asked me to come back. And I did, from 1995 until it closed in August. 2000. I went to New San Gabriel Lanes for a year an a half before they closed. My group moved to BRC Covina Bowl. My Turtle Bowl Youth Bowling Program came alive in Jan. 6, 2003 . The group bowls Thurs at 4:30 pm and Sat at 10 am in San Dimas at Chaparral Lanes.

Marjorie Bradshaw was loved by her bowling children. Marjorie is survived by her husband Harry L. Bradshaw Jr, Father-in-law Harry L. Bradshaw Sr, Daughters Annette M Anderson, Caro-lyn S Yeoman and Son Randy L Bradshaw who have all worked at Pioneer Bowl at one time or another. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren - Samantha Bradshaw, Michael Bradshaw (Utah), and Austin Yeoman; her brothers Bryan & Allan Mahoney, Bryan’s wife Judy and 7 nephews from her 3 different brothers. Marjorie Bradshaw was diagnosed with cancer in May 2008 and was un-able to beat it, but is in a place without pain, and with family and friends to cheer her up now and watch over us. The viewing & services will be at Rose Hills in Whittier. Viewing through gate 1 Wednesday night from 5 pm until 8:30 pm and the service will be Thursday also through gate 1 starting at 9 am. After Thursday services everyone is welcome to Harry Bradshaw’s house for food, soda, coffee and water. Share your memories with everybody. Cards can be sent to Harry Bradshaw 12018 Juno Ave, Norwalk CA 90650. In lieu of flowers send a donation in memory of Marjorie Bradshaw to cancer research. Thanks to the past bowlers that have remembered my family.

week of competition. Our Ebonite Challenge set a new record this year going 29

rounds and almost 3 hours of no-tap elimination bowling! With only Ebonite balls allowed in this event, the Ebonite Challenge definitely lived up to its name as every ball looked terrific. When the pins settled, Curtis Dornath came out the 2010 Ebonite Chal-lenge winner. Curtis is taking home $5,000 with his Ebonite Playmaker that seemed to read the lanes just right. There were 30 cash winners in this event and it had a 1 for 6 cashing ratio. As always, all Ebonite Challenge competitors received a new Ebo-nite Lane Breaker just for entering with over 75% the bowlers getting in for free!

The TAT grew in size this year by 40% mostly due to the add-ed $100,000 investment by TAT and the amazing value that came with the bowler’s entry. Bowlers received free squads, Ebonite balls & double tote bags, free casino cash, half price entries, Ebo-nite challenge finals entries, and even a free room night if you reserved your room by January 10th. All of this came at no extra cost to the bowlers and without increasing any entry fees. We had over 150 amateur bowlers in our main finals and 185 in the Ebonite finals with over 50% of them receiving at least $1,000 just for making our main finals in one of the six divisions.

We had over 300 new bowlers in this year’s TAT and paid out over $500,000 in cash and prizes to amateur bowlers. Our 4 free Chance tournaments paid out a total of $20,000 and bowl-ers received up to 5 free squad entries just for signing up early along with a free room night at The Orleans at no cost. We had 3 TAT Sweepers this year with all overall winners receiving $1,000. Our first Sweeper was won by Brian Wallace and all TAT bowlers got to bowl in it for free at 1:00 on Monday. Our second Sweeper was Wednesday and was won by Mike Albert with Daniel Skrimager winning our Thursday sweeper. We also added a new Handicap division to this year’s TAT Amateur Na-tionals which had over 160 bowlers that averaged under 189. One of them was guaranteed to our Top 5 and received a check for $6,000. All other handicap finalists received checks ranging from $400 to $2500 each.

On behalf of the entire TAT staff, we would like to thank all our TAT bowlers and sponsors for making this year’s Amateur Nationals the best tournament in years! We would also like to thank The Orleans for their outstanding customer service and hospitality during this exciting week of megabuck bowling. You can find results from this year’s 2010 TAT Amateur Nationals our posted on or website at www.tatbowl.com. Thanks again to our bowler and our sponsors for making this another wonderful megabuck tournament.

Bryan Moore hits Match Series $1,656 at CAL (L—R) Faithful ABTA Supporter Bryan Moore is congratulated by ABTA Direc-tor Deborah Sanders for hitting the Match Series at CAL His 502 scratch score was good for $1,658. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!!

LAKEWOOD—One of the “Good Guys” and one of the finest gentlemen I have known. While celebrating his Birthday and bowling in the ABTA he was the best Satur-day night at CAL Bowl. Romy Cajucom won his fitth ABTA Title by downing a hot shooter Vuong Do in the title game to take home a tidy $2,150, on his Birthday no less:_) Romy won this from the top seeded position in the top 16 single elim finals.

The scoring was semi tough, but fair. making the cut were Men +56 and the ladies +34 to make the semis and also added were Super Seniors Lonzell Burnett., and the Na-kunz tandem Marty and Bob-bie.

A good turnout of 224 bowlers ( 4 Squads) saw 51 Semifinalists take the floor, of which all would cash and the top 16 to advance to the single elim finals with 3 women min guaranteed to the top 16.

The scoring was conten-tious with Romy Cajucom leading the way at +117, and in second place, Lord Fergu-son only one title pin back at +116. Romy will sit out and bowl for the title. Lord to enter into the second round of the top 16 finals. It took a +48 (men) and the 3 guaranteed women to make the top 16 Single Elims at CAL .

The first round went. We had Bernie Navarro, Joshua Navarro, Tony Tang, Dave Emrich, Ed Abarca, Bobbie

Round two had Lord Fer-guson, Koo Hwang, Marv Crowder and Rina Cordero fall out and get checks of $115 in 6-9th places

Round three had Vuong Do get to Miriam Galluzzo 184-154. Ryan Nam edged Randy Folden 211-192. Randy and Miriam were 4th and 5th with fine bowling and $125 with two of our regulars to meet for the right to bowl Cajucom for the title.

The semi final match was on. Vuong brought his strike ball this game in a 256-221 win as Ryan couldn’t seem to find his shot, and had a few bad breaks. He was 3rd and bowled so well. Vuong was off to the title game vs Romy Cajucom.

The title game was on as Romy led off with a double. Vuong then was clean and Romy open in 3rd. Vuong still clean but he had a prob-lem as Romy then fired a four Bagger frames 4-5-6-7 to take command but when Vuong chopped a spare in frame 9 it was all over as Romy wins it 211/244-177/201. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Romy and ABTA Title in fact. Great Bowling!!

Southern Nevada-California Deaf Bowling Association This Weekend

by Ed AbakumoffCABAZON, CA.—The 26th Annual Southern Nevada-Cali-

fornia Deaf Bowling Association takes place this week-end Feb-ruary 13 -14. The Action will be at Canyon Lanes in Carbazon California. The bowling center has 24 lanes. It is located right next door to the Morongo Hotel and Casino. This year’s host is the Riverside Silent Bowlers and the chairperson is Don Tousig-nant.

There has been a slight change in the normal scheduling of the tournament. The change is that the General meeting will be held at 5:00pm Saturday afternoon instead of the usual Friday evening. All bowling events will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday there will be 2 squads of Singles and Doubles at 9:00am and 12:30pm. In the afternoon where will be 2 squads of qualifying for the Deaf Elimination Tournament at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

Sunday morning,2 squads for the team event, one at 9:00am and the other squad will be to be announced, possibly after the first squad.

The Deaf Elimination Tournament rounds will occur after the conclusion of the team events early Sunday afternoon. SN_CDBA attracted 25 teams, 94 singles, 47 doubles and 66 deaf elimination entries. The Secretary/Treasurer wants to remind all about the dress code. All shirts must have a collar ( no T-shirts).

Pants can be slacks, trousers, corduroy and blue jeans with no holes in them. Capris are allow for the female entrants only.

There are entrants for other states coming to participate, they are from Northern California, Arizona, Washington and from the islands of Hawaii as well as Southern California and Nevada.

Most of the team entries are in the 600+ team average range. There are 5 teams in the 700+ range. One of the teams, Las Vegas Deaf Bowling Association features Thomas Koewitz, who recently rolled his first 300 game. There are 3 teams with 800+ team average. The strongest team 864 consist of 3 former Deaf-lympians, Ed Abakumoff, Robert Ellison, Darrell Stogryn and joined by a lefty Mark Fisser. The next team at 835 have Carl Malucci and Ken DeGroff coming in with identical 246 averages and have a couple of 170 averages in their team. The third team has a 810 and mostly from Northern California. Ed Bazan, Bert Enos, Mike Scharnow and the 4 member is from Southern Cali-fornia, Daniel Vasquez Jr. These guys have their work cut out for themselves, because they have little or no handicap.

Thomas Koewitz Get His First Perfect Game

Reported by Carl Malucci LAS VEGAS, NEVADA—Tommy Koewitz, who bowls in

the Wednesday night Mountainsiders on team with James Mac-Donald , Pete Morreale and sara Sain-Jurgens. He shot his first 300 game during his second game. His games were 188-300-233 for a 721 series. Tommy says he found his line in the 9 frame of the first game and punched out in the 10th frame and kept on striking in the 2nd game for his 300. Oddly enoughbefore his thenth frame he had to wait a while to have some work fixed in the back. He remained calm during the long wait and finally got his chance to bowl and after he got his 12th strike for the 300, he looked up and said “Thanks Dad, Love You!”

Southern Los Angeles County Youth Travelby Otha Stubblefield

LOS ANGELES—Did you miss me? Naw! Don’t say it just to be nice, but it has been a busy three weeks with the rain and the demands of the job that keeps the lights on. Since my last article, we’ve been to Gardena, Cerritos and Gage. Starting with the Gardena recap, our leading scorer was Patrick Ruiz. He shot 200, 204 and 205 for a 757 series. He was followed closely by Jeremy Glover with 205/745.

Shirniece Beeks was high girl with 183/622. Seven days later, we stopped at Cerritos. Jeremy Glover took top spot with an impressive 978 series, shooting 248, 269, 222 and 239. Antone Beeks shot a 233 high game for a 761 set. Claudell Redwine was close behind with 218/756. Law-rence Merriweather and Patrick Ruiz showed up with their 200’s, 204 and 207, respectively, and Shirniece Beeks had 173/557. Our last stop on our unreported tour was at Gage Bowl. No Jeremy Glover scores to report, but I’ll get to that in a minute. Claudell led scoring with 233, 246/824. Lawrence was next with 193/695, followed by teammate Patrick at 189/692. Shirniece Beeks led the girls with 173/588, followed by Demenia Redwine with 155/567. Jeremy missed Travel League this week because he wanted to take advantage of a better opportunity.

Jeremy got an opportunity to bowl the PBA Regional held at Del Rosa Lanes in San Bernadino. A change in rule 400 , the USBC youth bowler prime directive, a few years ago allows youth bowlers to compete in singles (only) events with prior permission of the tournament director, and a signed agreement either waiving any cash prizes, or having them deposited in SMART, the USBC scholarship program.

Jeremy, 18 year-old first year student at Cal State Dominguez Hills, opted for the latter and took to the lanes. As a veteran of several sport shot leagues and tournaments, Jeremy was not perplexed by the Viper pattern. Jeremy finished the Saturday qualifying 11th out of the 111 bowler field at +280. After the Sunday semifinal round, he boosted his totals by 1170 to finish 12th (+450) and qualify for the top 16 elimination bracket on Sunday.

Jeremy got off to a slow start (148-190) in the best of 5 bracket, but he took it all the way (237-208, 213-232, 210-202, 259-247 ) to prevail against his first opponent 3-2. Unfortunately, he couldn’t keep up the pace of his next opponent, Willie Wilson, who posted two impressive games, 279 and 288, to sweep Jeremy (237, 212) in the best of 3 round. Despite the sweep, Jeremy was absolutely not disappointed. Finishing 7th, Jeremy adds $850 to his SMART account.

That’s a year’s worth of textbooks. This is Jeremy’s 2nd foray into head-to-head adult singles competition, cashing in the 2008 California State Masters. Jeremy considers this a very rewarding experience, and an honor to have had the opportunity to participate, and would certainly like to thank PBA Regional Director, Gary Mage, and Del Rosa owners Dave Wodka, Nicole Ellison, and all of the PBA regional members who were very supportive of this experience.

He has definite plans to continue bowling PBA events when he joins the adult ranks in the not too distant future. Jeremy resides in Los Angeles where he spent most of his youth bowling career at Southwest Bowl (RIP), and currently bowls at AMF El Dorado and SLAC Youth Travel. He is an active member in the TNBA, and many the touring letter clubs. Hopefully, all youth bowlers who are bowling JAT, JST, JBT, sport shot leagues, collegiate and any other letters that you’re frequenting will consider bowling professionally. Our next league session will be at Del Rio Lanes on Saturday. Please let me know your Pepsi plans, and the TNBA Western Regional Tournament is coming up for April 10-11 at the Orleans. Please contact me if you want more information!

Jeremy proudly shows off the PBA logo at the Del Rosa PBA Regional Tournament.

Gardner Mow’s Down The Pinsby Roberta McNaught

ANAHEIM—Maybe it was the rain that was making the pins hard to knock down last week? Don the Gardner man brought the right equipment and did the job to lead the league on games of 232, 180, 233 and 223 for an 868 series. The top two teams (teams 18 and 6) are still tied for first place with 238 1/2 points. There are only 38 1/2 points separating the top 15 teams. It’s go-ing to get exciting going into the last 13 weeks.

More mentionable scores were: Jim Moore 275/866, E.J. Rog-ers 239/862, Tim Blough 244/856, Miguel Rosales 247/854, Ron Douglass 257/853, Martin Angulo 226/848, Stacy Rider 244/845, Larry Green 235/839, Juan Sandoval 258/827, Don Gut-Omen 247/824, Jerry Roddam 246/819, Drew Parkin 255/816, Tom Horton 235/807, Gino Vassallo 212/805, Dick McKenzie 257, Gloria Ferrulli 246, Alan Gutierrez 238, Willy Bordenave 234, Ron Mahler 233, John Velasquez 226, Hong Kha 225, Rose Wil-liams 225, Roberta McNaught 223, Frank Bellinder 222, Rich Heid 222, Tony Chaco 219, Janet Anderson 217, Teri Hefner 217, Kantrel Williams 215, John Phillips 214, Nancy M. STUDIO CITY — The “big” game is over and we all reveled in the Saints win (unless you are a Colts fan). Yet the biggest “game” is right in front of you. Each weeke you bowl and don’t realize that each throw will grace your score. Each of you should be hot on the trot for 1st place. Yet, some of you take a bye week to collect your bowling physique.

PINZ ADULTS:Geaux Saints, was a popular sign this past week, but your’s should be Geaux Bouleening (or whatever annoying Cajun style of dialect you choose). Why can’t we all just get along or at least understand the fact that all bowlers are bowlers (deep I know, but it’s true). We should be like the Saints and love everyone just the same, for these peaceful scores look here:Tavern Guild: Tony Annibale 236/693, Ed Dusseau 242, Mark Peavey 671, David Quam 226/590, Tom Whitaker 588, TR Burton 227/578.Twilighters: Mark Spiwak 244/618, Larry Schneider 576, Jim Moore 237/573, Michael Holt 565, Eric Maize 227, Laurie Gaso 225, Gary Kaplan 225, Dan Coffelt 561.Kings and Queens: Jeremiah James 225/623, Jeff Pickel 213/600, Andrew Van Dorn 214, Ross Goldman 212/598, Luke Avery 212/594, Kevin Collins 216/592.Rock-N-Bowlers: Doug Cooper 163/440, Ross Neuman 430, Deb-bie Hiller 164/411, Bryan Grone 155/423, Scott Berger 162/408, Taylor Silken 167.E.I.B.L.: Brian Baccus 215/551, Darius Farrelly 203/506, Kenny Lofton 481, Troy Thompson 176/467, John Randolph 176/470, Mike Young 176.Funseekers: Tony Annibale 243/674, Dave Dittlinger 256/640, Keane Murakami 236/640, Mitch Rosen 243/619, Tom Wigmore 225, Gary Bailer 607.S.C.B.L.: Michael Gurrieri 268/751, Keane Murakami 232/652, Neil Inman 266/637, Jim Foltyn 239/630, Tom Wigmore 632, Dave Yamamoto 227.

PINZ JRS:Great job bowling this week, juniors. Yet, one of you stands out not for his bowling prowess or athletic ability (which he does), yet for his fortitude to pick the right box on a piece of paper. Treven, my friend, is a sports handicapper in the making. He can pick the best empty box and make it grand. Yet, if you don’t know he can bowl pretty good also. Here’s a look at the scores:Adult/Junior: Brad Lander 233/621, Ethan Bensinger 226/578, Treven Goldsmith 214/618, Max Korn 216/577, Brad Spector 211/520.Senior Scratch: Scott Englehart 266/891, Nikolai Berk 244/889, Natalie Kato 248/761, Treven Goldsmith 222/770, Daniel Cohen 207, Max Korn 753.Junior Stars: Angelo Costa 140/353, Nicole Martinez 143/351, Nicholas Martinez 134/282, Gianni Gaskins 92/255, Samantha Vargas 84/233.Pee Wee Bumpers: Andrew Parker 82/147

PINZ SENIORS/LADIES:I’m sure you all watched the big game (we’re pretending like we would get in trouble for saying Super Bowl). Well then you noticed that The Who rocked out a few songs. At your time I’m sure that was devil music but now it’s just boring. Something that isn’t boring is your scores:Happy Timers: Ruth Swick 152/400, Yolanda Dragotta 142/404, Art Abell 185/437, Russ Romo 163/458.Breakfast Club: Myrna Schiffman 189/462, Dorie Crofts 177/445, Marion Weis 183/434, Donna Klein 148/428, Lu-Juan Lietzke 173, Pam Vaughan 420.Coffee & Donuts: Nancy Kato 222/595, Elayna Klein 491, Arleen Wiener 483, Hildegard Miller 179/473, Norma Damschroder 189, Shirley Abramson 185/469, Loi Altman 178.Pin Pals: Karen Collier 180/512, Shelly Djerglan 199/436, Judy Kautz 168/435, Sharon Brooks 141/410, Diana Bassi 139/368.Joslyn Seniors: Teri Bonato 166/422, Betty Dushkin 158/422, Russ Romo 201/538, Sol Stein 197/535.Senior Social: Art Michaner 187/483, Charlene Gaffney 187/472, Russ Romo 158/440, Allan Lotta 153/417, Ruth Gralla 144/381.Bowler of the Week: Mr. Brad Lander took off his waders and decided to pre-bowl this week because of the game. Yet, he had a great game we all wondered about his terrific yellow waders and the effect it would have on his game. Indeed it had none as he bowled 233 for a 621 series.Niceness quote of the week: Julie Brown to Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith prior to his 1993 Superbowl game against Buffalo: “What are you going to wear in the game Sunday?”
