The Generations Conference was founded by the University Neuropsychiatric Institute, in partnership with the Utah Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.     The State of Utah and University Neuropsychiatric Institute have teamed up to create the Consultation Access Link Line to Utah Psychiatry (CALL- UP). CALL- UP is a new legislative funded program designed to address the limited number of psychiatric services in Utah and improve access to them. This state program will help serve patients ages 24 and younger at no cost to providers or patients in the state of Utah. See the website.

    Join us on March 6th for our 1st annual Critical Care Symposium.     This is a multifaceted gastrointestinal endoscopy course that w ill educate attendees on the diagnosis and treatment of a w ide range and variety of gastrointestinal conditions.

    INTERM OUNTAIN WEST HEPATOLOGY UPDATE

    This year?s course will focus on the management of chronic liver diseases, including chronic hepatitis C, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, Wilson disease and alpha 1 anti- trypsin deficiency. We will also discuss the role of liver transplant in patients with morbid obesity, severe alcoholic hepatitis and Wilson disease. Finally, this year we will also focus on the diagnostic approach of liver tumors with dedicated coverage of hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma.
