Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Southerner?
Here is a little test that will help you decide. The answer can be found by posing the following question:You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.Suddenly, a Terrorist with a huge knifecomes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, raises the knife, and charges at you...You are carrying a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?Democrat's Answer:
A, Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! A, What is a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP? A, Does the man look poor or oppressed? A, Is he really a terrorist? Am I guilty of profiling? A, Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? A, Could we run away? A, What does my wife think? A, What about the kids? A, Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? A, What does the law say about this situa-tion? A, Does the pistol have an appropriate safety built into it? A, Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway,
and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? A, Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? A, Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? A, If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? A, Should I call 9-1-1? A, Why is this street so deserted? A, We need to raise taxes, have paint & weed day. A, Can we make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. A, I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
A, This is all so confusing! ....... ......... ......... ......... .......... ......... ...Republican's Answer:BANG! ............................................... Southerner's Answer:BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!Click.... (Sounds of reloading)BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Romantic Valentine's Day festival is much awaited by those in love but dreaded by singles!! So much is the hype about the festival that some singles even become depressed about not having a partner several days before the festival when they see stores decorated with candies, choco-lates and flowers to lure the one's in love. Some times the sense of isolation becomes so strong that many singles tend to “hate Valentine's Day” - the day that is actually meant to celebrate love.
Many single men and women go to the extent of calling Valentine's Day a ‘Singles Awareness Day'. This is because they feel that the day strongly reminds them of their unattached status and not having someone to spend the day in romantic and much popularized manner. Initials of the day ‘S-A-D' reflect their status of feeling depressed and unloved.
But dateless people must keep in mind that Valentine's Day is not just to be cel-ebrated by romantically involved couples. The festival is celebrated to express love to anyone we are closed to. We can therefore celebrate Valentine's Day with friends, siblings, parents, grandparents, teachers or anyone who made a difference to our lives with their affection and support. We must take opportunity of the Valentine's Day festival to express our love and gratitude to all persons we love. And what better way to do so than by saying it with a gift of roses, chocolates and beautiful cards.
Singles can make the most of Valentine's Day by spending the day in the company of those they love or by indulging them-selves with something luxurious. Here are some tips and ideas on how singles can celebrate the Valentine's Day in charming and memorable fashion:
Valentine's Day Ideas for Singles
Pamper yourself Buy yourself cute Valentine's Day gifts which could be flowers, a cute teddy or a dress you have been planning to buy since long. Singles may also indulge themselves by going in for spa or head to toe beauty treatment. Indulging in books, CDs,
and gourmet meals can be a good way of enjoying the day for some.
Freak out with friends Plan out a dinner or movie with best friends. You may also throw a “singles party” or “Un-Valentine's Day Party” at your home and have a blast. You will know that life is fun in the company of loving friends.
Acts of Service Singles can spend Valentine's Day in the meaningful way by spending time with the needy and downtrodden. You may visit an orphanage or old age home and spend time with the inmates there who are al-ways in need of love and affection. Visiting hospitals and giving roses to sick can also be a touching way of experiencing bliss on Valentine's Day.
Express Gratitude for friends and dear ones Instead of feeling depressed and ashamed for not having a significant other to spend the day, singles can spend Valentine's Day in a constructive manner by expressing love and affection for people around them. One can thank and greet Valentine's Day to one's parents, friends, colleagues, neigh-bors or anyone dear.
Think Positive Singles can make the most of Valentine's Day by thinking positive and fighting away Valentine's Day blues. One should not spend the day sulking for not having a spouse or beloved to spend the day in a happy manner.
Focus on Relationship Plan Singles can focus on their relationship plan on Valentine's Day and prepare themselves for healthy and lasting relation-ships. One can take help of dating and matrimonial sites to find a partner. Also make a list of what you can do to improve your personality. It could be developing a more healthy and positive approach towards life or working towards one's diet, health and physical appearance. Take steps you think are vital to improve your chances for relationship. Make some reso-lutions for yourself and stick to them.
Valentines Day for Singles
Port City ThriftPort City Thrift (PCT) is a 4,000-square-foot store in Ladson, SC, located at the intersection of College Park Road and U.S. Highway 78. The company was started by the husband and wife team of Tom Mitchell and Robin Lambdin. When they opened their doors on April 3rd, 2012, they had three goals in mind:
Provide a wide selection of interesting, decorative, and unique items for their customers • Provide reasonable, true thrift store prices for the community.• Provide a large, clean store that’s properly laid out where everything is visible•
The store is built on a traditional thrift store business model. However, they’ve included free WiFi Internet access, high-defi nition TV viewing, and easy-listening music. Port City Thrift is considered a new kind of thrift store, that offers upscale items at thrift store prices.
The company does not sell clothes or baby items. Tom Mitchell said, “For the shopper that is interested in clothes, the Goodwill has plenty of clothes. We don’t compete with the Goodwill or Community Thrift, because we aren’t a big box thrift store that sells clothes. We are more of a small, boutique type thrift store that provides personal customer service.”
PCT specializes in unique, home décor items, household goods, kitchen untensils and small ap-pliances, furniture, glassware and tableware with a smattering of antiques. And they carry hun-dreds of other items as well.
Mitchell went on to say that his wife is the buyer for the company, and is regarded by all of their customers as having an eye for fi nding really unique, interesting and expensive pieces, that are sold at thrift store prices.
Port City Thrift is not a consignment store, everything in the store was purchased at auctions, yard sales, garage sales, estate sales and occasionally from customers. The company recently expanded its electronic section to include new, in-the-box Android Tablets that sell at real thrift store prices when compared to the retail price.
Visit Port City Thrift online at http://PortCityThrift.com and click the “This Just In” link to see pictures of what’s new in the store this week, and pictures of past item. Or visit the store at:

Accessories for Women
How do you say thank you to the woman that you love or the mother that gave you life or the sister that helped you when you needed help or even the Aunt or Grandmother that raised you and fed you and always had a kind word and advice for you?
Thursday, February 14th is Valen-tine's Day, and it is one of the days during the year when you can say thank you to those women that are such a major part of your life. These are the women that helped shape you into the person that you are today. They didn't do it for thanks; they did it out of love for you.
Take a minute on this day and give the ones that love you the most a small gift that expresses how much you love, respect and appreciate them.
It doesn't have to be something big, flashy or expensive, but it does have to be something that lets them know that you understand them and appreciate what they've done for you. Not out of obligation, but out of love.
Take a quiet moment to remember the bright, twinkling eyes and smile that played across their face when you walked into the room and they saw you.
Remember when you weren't feeling well, and they went out of their way to do something to ease your discomfort or pain. They did it out of love for you.
On this Valentine's Day, show them that their kindness and love for you did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Take that extra min-ute to pick the best card that conveys your feelings. Take that extra minute to find a gift that fits your pocket book, and sends the message that they are appreciated, by you.
They will tell their friends and rela-tives about how good you made them feel, they will love you even more for the effort, because you picked flowers or a gift and card, specifically with them in mind.
Have a Happy Valentine's Day.

Read this most hilarious and exhaustive col-lection of Valentine's Day Humor for a hearty laugh. You may also shares these Valentine's Day Jokes with your beloved and watch him or her roll with laughter!
A little boy asked his father, "Daddy, how much does it cost to get married?" And the father replied, "I don't know, son, I'm still paying for it."
Candy Love Four-year-old Sam loved candy almost as much as his mom Sally did. He and Daddy had given her a beautiful heart-shaped box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. A few days later Sam was eyeing it, wishing to have a piece of it. As he reached out to touch one of the big pieces, Sally said to him, "If you touch it, then you have to eat it. Do you understand?" "Oh, yes," he said, nodding his head. Suddenly his little hand patted the tops of all the pieces of candy. "Now I can eat them all." ----------------------------------------------------
A young woman was taking an afternoon nap. After she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day. What do you think it means?"
"You'll know tonight," he said. That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it--only to find a book entitled "The meaning of dreams".
----------------------------------------------------
A guy walks into a post office one day to see a middle-aged, balding man standing at the counter methodically placing "Love" stamps on bright pink envelopes with hearts all over them. He then takes out a perfume bottle and starts spraying scent all over them.
His curiosity getting the better of him, he goes up to the balding man and asks him what he is doing. The man says, "I'm sending out one thousand Valentine cards signed, 'Guess who?'"
"But why?" asks the man.
"I'm a divorce lawyer," the man replies. ----------------------------------------------------
A smart, handsome and sexy young man dressed in the most sophisticated manner walked into the bar. He noticed a woman staring at him without blinking her eyes with an open mouth. Flattered, he approached the woman and said in his sexiest deep voice - "I'll do anything you wish, beautiful lady, for just $20 but on one condition." The woman was trapped in a moment and asked as if in a trance - "What's your condition?" The young man replied, "Tell me your wish in just three words." After a long pause, woman opened her purse, counted the money and handed it to the man along with her address. She then looked deeply into his eyes and whispered, "Clean my house." ----------------------------------------------------
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?" "Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws." ----------------------------------------------------
A very shy guy goes into a pub on Valentine's Day night and sees a beautiful woman at the bar. After a long struggle with his shyness, he finally managed to walk over to her and asked her politely, "Um, would you mind if I give you company?" She made a furious face and yelled at the top of her lungs, "How dare you asked me to sleep with you tonight?" Everyone in the pub started staring at the man who was completely embarrassed. After a few minutes, woman walked over to him and apologized - "You see I am a student of psychology and studying how people respond to embarrassing situations. I am sorry but I was just doing my experiment!" The young man suddenly gave a loud yell, "What do you mean $200?" ----------------------------------------------------
After a quarrel, a wife said to her husband, "You know, I was a fool when I married you." And the husband replied, "Yes, dear, but I was in love and didn't notice it." ----------------------------------------------------
A couple came upon a wishing well. The wife leaned over, made a wish and threw in a penny. The husband decided to make a wish, too but
he leaned over too much, fell into the well, and drowned. The wife was stunned for a moment but then smiled, "It really works!" ----------------------------------------------------
If you want your wife to listen and pay strict at-tention to every word you say, talk in your sleep. ----------------------------------------------------
When a man opens the door of his car for his wife, you can be sure of one thing: either the car is new or the wife. ----------------------------------------------------
First Guy (proudly): "My wife's an angel!" Sec-ond Guy: "You're lucky, mine's still alive." ----------------------------------------------------
Valentine's Day One-liners•Love may not make the world spin around, but it certainly makes a lot of people dizzy. •Here's to love - the only fire for which there is no insurance. Worst thing you can say on a first date•I used to have a real bad bedwetting problem ... but the last couple of weeks I've gotten it under control. •I know we just met and this might seem a little sudden ... but could I borrow five hundred dollars? •I don't see my ex-girlfriend that much ... thanks to the U.S. Department of Justice." •Wait till my wife hears about this! •I had a good time tonight. I'd love to see you again in six to eight months with good behavior.
A Funny Valentine
