Customers often complain that they dont know what documents Huawei provide and how to obtain them.

Action:Added two nodes in the navigation tree:

Introduction to Wireless Network Documentation System

SingleRAN/GSM/UMTS/LTE Documentation

Value: Making it convenient for customers to know Huawei wireless network documentation system and how to obtain the

documents.

Voices of Customers:

Many customers complain that too many matching documents are displayed after searching and it is time-

consuming to find the information they need in the searching result.

Action:

Improved the searching function by only displaying searching results related with feature documents.

Value:Increased searching efficiency by eliminating more than 90% searching results not directly related with feature

documents.

Customers from Bell require Huawei to add related information about the license in feature documentation.

Other customers also require Huawei to add information about license control item lists.

Action:

Added the node of license control item lists, including corresponding feature ID, feature name, license control

item name, license control item ID, and network element.

Value: Making it easy for customers to know information about license control items by providing the information within

one node.

Customers from TMO require Huawei to add corresponding 3GPP version information in eRAN feature

documents.

Action:

Added related 3GPP version number in eRAN feature documentation, as to the fast developing situation of LTE

protocol versions.

Value: Making it convenient for customers to know the corresponding 3GPP version information when using Huawei eRAN

feature documents.

Customers complain that NIR (in pdf format) in feature documentation is hard to search, and they hope Huawei

releases NIR in HTML format and supports links.

Action: Released NIR in HTML format and added links for parameters.

Value:Making it convenient for customers to refer to related documents in HTML format.

Customer from VDF require Huawei to add alarm lists in the documents, if new alarms are introduced after the

feature is activated.

Action: Added related alarm lists in the troubleshooting chapter in feature documents about the device and transmission.

Value:

Making it convenient for customers to know newly introduced alarms due to the feature in the network design,equipment test, and live network application.

Customers complain that the information of engineering guidelines in eRAN3.0 feature documents with several

features is too scattered.

Action: Improved the engineering guidelines of about 15 eRAN3.0 feature documents by integrating information about onefeature scattered in different chapters into one chapter in eRAN6.0 version.

Value:Conforming to customers usage habit by displaying the complete information about one feature in one chapter.

Customers require Huawei to improve security-related feature documents.

Action: Improved information about security, especially transmission security. Made IPSec, PKI, and SSL dependent feature documents from transmission security Added transmission security overview to summarize feature documents about security.

Value:Conforming to customers usage habit after adjusting the document structure and adding related information.
