Hey All.
Merry Christmas to all, in the
hope that you feel Gods mercy
and blessings despite your situation.
I have now spend 9 months in my homeland
and must say I dont miss Florida too much.
Right now the falling of the leaves is making the
world around me stunningly beautiful, and I look
forward to walking in the dark streets with Christmas
lights all around and hopefully snow on christmas eve.
As some of you know, my youngest Emilie had a son
last year,Nathaniel, and 10 days ago, stephanie blessed
me with yet another grandbaby, Dominic. Although I
dont miss Florida and the American system as such, I
do miss my hubby enormeously, and my contact with
you guys, and the work we accomplished in FDRAG.
I hope to get back in the swing when things settle here,
so I can get something going from this end...
my address is; Hannah Floyd,
paltholm terrasserne 60E, 3520 Farum, Denmark
in case any of you feel like sending a note.....
May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make
his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, May the
lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Mail Bag
The food and the flat screen TVs
The food and the lousy TV’s (both in terms of
overall quality and in regards to the turn-around
time for repairs) are 2 things that FDRAG hears
about constantly.
We have included surveys in this newsletter
requesting more information about these 2 problem
areas.
We have also included extra copies of the surveys in
some of the newsletters. If you get one of the extra
copies, pass it along to someone who didn’t get one.
We need everyone to fill these out!!
Also, if you have any grievances that you have filed
about the food or TVs (that you have not already
sent to FDRAG) we would like to get copies,
preferably along with this survey.
(We will make a copy and send back your originals).
***************
Access to the law library at FSP
There is apparently a policy in place at FSP that
does not allow for direct access to the law library.
Information necessary to appeal a ruling, or to
prepare for an upcoming court session, is not easily
accessible, or in some cases not accessible at all, for
those who can’t afford to pay the price.
***************
Medical care
In the next newsletter we will be including a survey
about medical access and treatment.
***************
State issued property at UCI
If you go to DC at UCI we have been told that there
is a new policy in place and you will now lose any
state issued items. They will be given to the first
person on the waiting list and when you get off DC
you will be placed on the bottom of the waiting list.
Not sure how long the wait time is on that list. Just
to let you know.
Converter boxes
FDRAG received the e-mail below on Thu, Nov 18;
“The television converter box was removed from the
menu because the clear casing box was no longer
available from Keefe Commissary Network’s
provider. They are currently sourcing a replacement
box, and after a new converter box is located and
approved by the Department it will be available for
purchase.
As you are aware analog televisions are being
replaced by digital, and we have requested Keefe
Commissary Network to source a new television that
would meet our specific specifications. “
George B. Sapp
Deputy Secretary of Institutions and Re Entry
Florida Department of Corrections
***************
Holiday cards
Everyone should have started to receive holiday
cards from around the world by now. FDRAG will
be sending in one box of cards from the SE Station
address just to be sure that everyone gets at least a
few….in the event of mail delivery problems from
overseas, or other unforeseen delays.
***************
Medical consent form
It’s very important that you have a completed copy
of this form on file with the health department. We
have included copies of the form, as well as some
extras (in some of the newsletters). If you get one of
the extra copies, pass it along to someone who
didn’t get one.
Everyone needs to fill one of these out!!
***************
Greeting Cards
If you would like to receive assorted greeting cards,
please let us know…if you haven’t already. We lost
the mailing list for cards along with the mailing list
for the newsletter! FDRAG will send cards
whenever supplies are available (a few times a year).

Donating movies to UCI
If any of your friends or family members have DVD
or VCR movies that can be donated to UCI, they
should contact Nan Jeffcoat at
<[email protected]>; she is an asst.
warden. She will send you a form which you fill out
and return to her and she will return the form to you
to let you know which movies have been approved to
send or bring in.
Movies can be previously viewed.
Thanks to Florida Death Row for this.
Television repairs
FDRAG has spent many hours on the phone with
Access trying to resolve issues with TVs that have
been sent in for repair from UCI and FSP. If your TV
breaks down and has to be sent to Access for repair,
the information below might be helpful.
5-10 days after the set has been mailed out for
repairs, you can write to:
Access, Customer Service/TV Specialist
10880 Lin Page Place, St. Louis, MO 63132
Or someone can call Access at (866) 754-2818.
Write to or (if someone is calling) ask for customer
service and check if the set has been received and
logged by the warehouse.
After it’s logged by the warehouse, the set is
inspected and a repair ticket is generated, detailing
what needs to be done and the cost (if any).
That information is sent to the billing department.
They send out a postcard to you with the amount due
for repairs (if any).
Once they receive payment, the repairs are scheduled.
If you have someone calling Access for you, they can
find out the amount due and send in a money order to
cover the payment. This can decrease the wait time as
it takes a while to get a check cut and mailed out.
We are told that it should normally take 3-5 days to
log in a TV set once it has been delivered to the
warehouse. After the payment for repairs is received
by Access, it should take no more than 10-14 days for
the repairs.
If you have problems of any kind with the repair, you
can write to the same address (above) to the attention
of Shaneka, Sr. Customer Service Representative.
Contact info for Shaneka is:
phone # - (636) 925-9533
fax number: (636) 925-9596
Keep a record of what is happening with your TV.
Date shipped out for repairs, date of various letters
sent to Access (as well as copies), etc,
If none of the above helps and you are still having
problems, send FDRAG copies of everything you
have done. We will try to help.
Newsletter #29
Newsletter (#29) will be coming out in late January
and will include Valentines messages among other
things.
If you have something to include, please send it to us
before January 15t.h
.
The “Inside Cover”
In the next newsletter we will be introducing a new
section to be called “The Inside Cover”. The space
will be reserved for things that we get from you.
Do you have anything to share with those around
you?
A good recipe made from canteen items? A way to
clean that fan? A poem or a good resource maybe?
Do you have a letter to the editor?
Send us anything that you would like to share. As
long as it doesn’t violate any rules, and it’s not too
long, we can publish it. We appreciate short pieces!
Thanks.
FDRAG would like to thank everyone
for the holiday messages that we received
and for the positive feedback
on the newsletters.
Thank you!!

FOOD SURVEY QUESTIONNAIRE
FDRAG is asking everyone to complete the Food Survey Questionnaire and the Food Survey Log. If you like the food, or if you
don’t, we need your help to get a good understanding of what issues there are with regards to the food you are served. The survey
is confidential. We don’t need anyone’s name. We just need everyone’s honest opinion about the meals you receive.
Please return the food survey questionnaire together with all the pages of your completed food survey log.

The HIPA (Health Information Protection Act) has very strict rules about the release of personal medical information.
In order for someone to be given access to your medical information, or to find out what is going on with you if you are ill or

The night before Christmas for an attorney
Whereas, on an occasion immediately preceding the
Nativity festival, throughout a dwelling unit, quiet
descended, in which could be heard no disturbance,
not even the sound emitted by a diminutive rodent
related to, and in form resembling, a rat; and
Whereas, the offspring of the occupants had affixed

What is FDRAG about?
The Florida Death Row Advocacy Group (FDRAG) is made up of the families and friends of death row inmates in
Florida. We are devoted to working on maintaining and improving the lives of those on the row.
Anyone who is willing to work for basic human rights is welcome.
If you are looking to become involved in anti-death penalty activities, we recommend that you join one of the
excellent groups already up and running like NCADP, FADP, or CUADP.
Most of the members of FDRAG are active in anti-death penalty activities.
FDRAG needs your help!!

Whether you can help with a little or a lot, please contact us by filling in the form below, or by sending an e-mail to
us or by calling!! Our contact information is on the other side of this page!
