Today prayer is inspired by the song ‘Talking To Jesus’ by Elevation Worship

and Maverick City

Mama used to drag me to church Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights Khaki pants and a polo shirt Boy, I put up a fight She said, “Son, one day you’ll thank me For having God in your life” And yeah, I know she was right Yeah, my mama was right ‘Cause now I’m talking to Jesus She got me talking to Jesus She got me talking to Jesus Yeah, my mama was right

You can listen to this song on YouTube or choose your own.

Prayer today is inspired by Jeremiah 29:7,

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.

On Amnesty International Day let us pray,

O Lord God, your Son Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his resurrection he restores life and peace in all creation. Comfort, we pray, to all victims of intolerance and those oppressed by their fellow humans. Remember in your kingdom those who have died. Lead the oppressors towards compassion and give hope to the suffering. Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Prayer is a two way conversation with the living God, who loves and listens to the

things we say. Talk with God, thank him for the good things in your life. And then listen.

Today prayer is inspired by Isaiah 43:18-19,

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!

Talk to God today about ways you can move forward to the future.

Hold my hand, God Lead the way,

Help me be good every day. Let me know what’s wrong and right, Keep me safe day and night, Let me know what you have planned, Lead the way God, Hold my hand. Amen

Lucille Arlidge, St Matthew with St Chad, Smethwick invites us to pray,

For life in its fullness and joy in life. We thank you Lord. Amen

MON 31

welcome your Holy Spirit into our lives everyday.

Let us pray for those who are guiding our nation at this time,

and shaping national policies, and for your guiding hand in wise decisions. As restrictions ease through this pandemic, Lord, grant us the courage not to rush back to our old ways, but to rebuild our world together. Bless our local community, and let our neighbourhoods be places of trust and friendship, where all are known and cared for. Amen
