According to The U.S. measure of poverty is an important social indicator that affects not only public perceptions of well-being in America, but also public policies and programs.An indicator of the number and proportion of people with inadequate family incomes for needed consumption of food and other goods and services. At that time, the poverty "line" for a family of 4 had broad support. New Light Christian Center Church (NLCCC) was founded by Bishop. I. V. and Lady Bridget Hilliard in 1984 with approximately 23 members.
Membership currently numbers over 28,000 and is increasing at a rate of 400 - 500 monthly.
