In Hemmingway’s A Farewell to Arms, one of the characters says these words, “Life

breaks us all—and afterward some of us become strong in the broken places.” Life

does have a way of breaking us all during the course of the journey. Some are de-

stroyed by the brokenness; some are made stronger.

Brokenness is a spiritual process whereby God shapes the lives of His children. It is always painful

but oh so productive for those who embrace what God is doing. As we continue our series, Spiritu-

al Cardiology, this week we are thinking together about the broken heart. We’ve all been there.

Some of us are there even now. So I’ve taken the liberty to make an appointment for you to see Dr.

Kicks Off Sunday, Feb. 23! Last month we launched the Generation Ministry for our church.

The heart of the Generation Ministry is the Intentionals. The Intentionals are

specific activities or emphases that will be happening church wide in our

our church that will have all the contents and information you need to do this in your home. Also,

when we pick up the packet, we will have a list for families/individuals to sign that they took a

packet and give their email. The reason for this is that we want to resource you with articles, ide-

as, inspirational quotes and give encouragement to you/your family during the 90 Days Prayer 7-5-

2 Home Emphasis being done in your home.

We are VERY excited to launch out in this first Home Emphasis Intentional and we hope

and pray it will be a great blessing to you and your family! And remember: when we use the term
