Risk of Nuclear War

Rising Daily!

A recent headline in the leftist British daily newspaper,The

Independent, reads: “Risks of Nuclear War Rising.” As the articleexplains, citing a recent statement issued by the European LeadershipNetwork (a multi-national body of former defense chiefs includingJohn McColl, former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied CommanderEurope; and General James Cartwright, former Vice-Chairman of theU.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff), “ More than 120 senior military, political,and diplomatic figures from across the world have warned [that] urgent

action is needed to minimize the risk of a nuclear war.”1

How urgent? Many analysts agree that the danger of a major warerupting now is greater than it was in the Cold War era.

“The World is at a dangerous crossroads,” writes another journalist.“There has been a breakdown in East-West diplomacy coupled withextensive war propaganda. In turn the United Nations has turneda blind eye to extensive war crimes committed by the Western

military alliance.”2

This journalist continues:

“America is on a war footing. … We are not dealing with a ColdWar. None of the safeguards of the Cold War era prevail.”

The World Stage Continues To Unravel

“If you wonder,” writes Robert Parry, “how the world could stumble

into World War Three — much as it did into World War One a centuryago — all you need to do is look at the madness that has enveloped

virtually the entire US political/media structure over Ukraine, wherea false narrative of white hats vs. black hats took hold early and hasproved impervious to facts or reason.”3

Internationally acclaimed journalist John Pilger explains:

“The suppression of the truth about Ukraine is one of the mostcomplete news blackouts I can remember. The biggest Westernmilitary build-up in the Caucasus and Eastern Europe since World

War Two is blacked out. Washington’s secret aid to Kiev and its neo-Nazi brigades responsible for war crimes against the populationof eastern Ukraine is blacked out. Evidence that contradicts thepropaganda that Russia was responsible for the shooting down of aMalaysian airliner is blacked out. …

“Many in the Western media have worked hard to present theethnic Russian population of Ukraine as outsiders in their owncountry, almost never as Ukrainians seeking a federation within

Ukraine and as Ukrainian citizens resisting a foreign-orchestratedcoup against their elected government.”4

Pilger concludes: “The world is facing the prospect of major war,perhaps nuclear war — with the United States clearly determined toisolate and provoke Russia and eventually China.” In the meantime,he adds, “This truth is being turned upside down and inside out by

journalists, including those who promoted the lies that led to the

bloodbath in Iraq in 2003.”We are now, Pilger argues, in “a new and dangerous Cold War,”

complete with the same journalistic “smear and scare campaign of thekind I grew up with during the first Cold War. … What the RussianPresident has to say is of no consequence; he is a pantomime villain

who can be abused with impunity.”

Further Encirclement and Intimidation of Russia

The United States Congress recently enacted a bill, the UkraineFreedom Support Act of 2014 (HR 5859 and S. 2828), authorizing

yet more sanctions against Russia, as well as additional overt lethalmilitary assistance to Ukraine. Signed into law by President Obamaon December 18, 2014, the new sanctions on Russian companies andindividuals went into effect in coordination with similar measuresby the European Union and Canada. At the same time, President

Obama also issued an Executive Order banning the export of goods,technology, and services to the Crimea Peninsula.

The Ukraine Freedom Support Act authorizes sanctions on Russian weapons exports and oil production imports, as well as on the financialinstitutions which facilitate these transactions. Also targeted is the

Russian energy giant Gazprom if it is deemed to be withholdingsignificant gas supplies from specified states. The Act also authorizes

weapons transfers to Kiev.

The American business journal Forbes sees the new Act (passed

without debate on mere voice votes in both houses in a “lame duck”session of Congress)5 as utterly dangerous to American interests,encouraging only retaliation from Russia and making diplomaticresolutions to the Ukraine crisis less feasible:

“[O]n Thursday in the midst of negotiations to avoid anothergovernment shut-down, both houses of Congress rammed throughnew sanctions against Russia, the misnamed ‘Ukraine FreedomSupport Act of 2014’.

“Indeed, the House version, H.R. 5859, was introduced earlierthe same day and approved by a sparse crowd late at night. TheSenate legislation, S. 2828, passed on a voice vote. …

“Congress appears determined to turn an adversary into aforthright enemy, and to encourage retaliation against moresignificant American interests. … [T]he provisions in this bill willmake it all the more difficult to find a negotiated settlement to the

Ukraine crisis, or to find a way to salvage any form of productiveU.S.-Russia relationship. No wonder Congress didn’t want to debateit openly.”6

A Declaration of Cold War

During the week before this legislation was enacted, the U.S.House of Representatives also passed a Resolution (#758) stronglycondemning President Putin for his supposed policy of aggression

against neighboring countries, and accusing him of pursuing aimsof political and economic domination. The House Resolution alsoindicts Russia with the deaths of the 298 civilians aboard MalaysianFlight MH-17, as well as of the 4000 or more Ukrainians killed inthe country’s eastern-region conflicts, echoing the baseless anddiscredited propagandistic Western media lies.

In the same vein, the Resolution brazenly referred to Chapter Five

of the NATO Treaty (which requires all NATO members to come tothe military assistance of all others), suggesting that U.S. leadersintend to invoke the NATO collective security doctrine in initiatinga military confrontation with Russia.

It is precisely this provision of NATO alliances which threatensto escalate any small skirmish in the region into an uncontrollableWorld War, and yet Washington leaders such as Senator Bob Corker(the chief sponsor of both the present Act and the earlier proposal

entitled “The Russian Aggression Prevention Act of 2014”) continueto push for NATO partner and ally status for former Soviet states suchas Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia — states which Russia cannotpossibly allow to be militarized by NATO forces.

Summarizing the intent of the Resolution (which passed almostunanimously, at 411-10), Dr. Paul Craig Roberts says:

“Washington wants to include the former Russian provinces ofGeorgia and Ukraine in NATO, something that Russia cannot accept.… The House Resolution calls on Obama to arm Ukraine with US weapons so that Ukraine can conquer the separatist provinces andtake back Crimea.”7

“Does Congress understand the dangers of inviting conflict withnuclear-armed Russia, especially in this critical region not far fromMoscow?” asks Jane Orient, M.D., President of Physicians for CivilDefense.8 Truly, we can only wonder at the present course of events.

Daniel McAdams (executive director at the Ron Paul Institute) callsthe Resolution an effective declaration of Cold War against Russia —and truly, it reads like a declaration of war. A sample of the document

will give the reader an idea of the gravity of the present crisis:

“Whereas the Russian Federation has subjected Ukraine toa campaign of political, economic, and military aggression forthe purpose of establishing its domination over the country and

progressively erasing its independence; …“Whereas Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, a civilian airliner, was

destroyed by a Russian-made missile provided by the RussianFederation to separatist forces in eastern Ukraine, resulting in theloss of 298 innocent lives; …

“Whereas the Russian Federation invaded the Republic of Georgiain August 2008, … [and] continues to subject the Republic ofGeorgia to political and military intimidation, economic coercion,and other forms of aggression in an effort to establish its controlof the country and to prevent Georgia from establishing closerrelations with the European Union and the United States; … and

world powers.

Witness the recent (July

17, 2014) heartless murderof 298 people, including 80children, flying on the Malaysian Airlines flight (MH-17) crossingover Ukraine.

The civilian plane wasintentionally shot down by militarygunfire. Some nation or other’smilitary was behind those terriblemurders. It becomes clearer everyday, as time passes and morefacts emerge, that some nationor other’s government wants totake the conflict between Russiaand the West over Crimea and theethnic Russians in eastern Ukraineto an open shooting war betweenRussia and the U.S.A.

Recall the fact (which The Fatima Crusader called attention

to in Issue 109, page 45) that inthe Maidan Square protests in Kiev(in February 2014), snipers on thebuilding tops were shooting at bothparties — police and protestorsalike — purposely escalating theconflict. We must also rememberthat the protests, the shootings andsurrounding events resulted in thecoup d’etat against the legitimateUkrainian government.

We Are Being

Driven to War The world is being intentionally

driven to more and greaterconflicts, more and greater wars.

It is not a matter of wild orbaseless theorizing to say this —it is an officially recognized and

acknowledged fact. In recentdecades, world leaders haverepeatedly made plans for warand used the media to stir up apopular appetite for war, anddeceived even the vast majority ofthe public about the case for war,knowing full well all the while that

they had no grounds for war at all. As the reader will see in PartI, Chapter 2 of the book, OnlyShe Can Help Us! (see SpecialReport on page 12 of this issue),many damning facts of this kind(in our times) have now come tolight through the declassification

of various official UnitedStates documents.

This is the shocking picture thathas emerged from the now-publicfacts regarding the 1962 Operation

Northwoods and the Gulf of TonkinIncident of August 1964 (which

was used to precipitate directU.S. involvement in the VietnamWar), as well as from the U.S.Congressional Record (in 2007House Resolution 625), in whichPresident Bush was censuredfor his false charges againstSaddam Hussein (which led to theIraq War).

The next major war, which

clearly is very close, could wellbe more devastating for the whole world than anything the humanrace has ever experienced as you will read in the book, Only SheCan Help Us! — and more terriblethan any of us can imagine.

More Unfolding Events

Since the time of the book’s(Only She Can Help Us!) writing,events have continued to unfoldin regard to the shooting down ofMalaysia Airlines flight MH-17.

Andrei Karaulov, a high-profileRussian journalist, in an Autumn

2014 feature on the MoscowChannel 5 “Moment of Truth”program, has claimed to bringeven more details to light aboutthe perpetrators of this crime,including the name of the man

who “pulled the trigger” onthose 298 innocent lives. Four

Ukrainian military jets with tailnumbers 06, 07, 08 and 33 of the229th squadron, Karaulov claims,intercepted the passenger plane.Lt. Col. Dmitro Jakazuz, piloting

an SU-25 with tail number 08,shot the Boeing 777 down and hasbeen in hiding in the United ArabEmirates since that day.

Without a truly proper andthorough investigation of thedisaster and a transparentpublication of the evidence —particularly all the black boxdata, all the Kiev control towerrecordings on that day and allthe U.S. satellite images of flight

MH-17 — we will hear only thebanter of accusations and counter-accusations. Yet, the Russiangovernment is the only nation sofar that has produced cold, hardevidence to convincingly disproveany accusations against it.

But, in the meantime, Russia is

demonized and punished by theWest as if it had been proven guiltyof this terrible war crime.

We need to use our voices tospeak up, and to insist upon animpartial, thorough, completeinvestigation into the most recentcasus belli (provocation for war)

– the deliberate murder of 298passengers and the destructionof Malaysian Airlines flight MH-17. The public must be allowedto know all the facts.

Another Western trend, asdescribed in the book (Only SheCan Help Us!), has been to steadilyincrease the militarization of NATOcountries near Russia’s borders,including the construction of anti-ballistic missile stations. While

even our publicity – bring aboutthe Consecration of Russia in time,then we are doomed.

We must act now, and quickly,

to honor Our Lady of Fatima’srequests (see Part II of the book,Only She Can Help Us!, as well asthe articles in this issue on page 12 and on page 16. Obedience to theMessage of Fatima is our only hopeand our only solution. Above all,

what is needed is the Pope’s and

the Catholic bishops’ obedienceto God’s command to consecrateRussia to the Immaculate Heartof Mary in the solemn and publicmanner specified by Our Lady ofFatima. Our time is running out.

We Are ExpectedTo Do Our Part!

Our Lord expects us to do ourpart in acting for Our Lady’s honorand for our own preservationby using the moral influence of whatever station each of us hasin life, as well as our prayers, tobring about the Pope’s obedience.

We must pray our Holy Rosaryevery day, asking for Our Lady’sprotection on our families, on ourneighborhoods and parishes, onour friends and co-workers, on ourcities and our whole nations.

And we must also pray and insistthat the Pope and the bishops of

the Catholic Church obey OurLady of Fatima before it is too latefor all of us.|

The same missiles housed in

these stations which might be usedas defensive interceptors can alsobe used in a first-strike offensiveagainst Russia, delivering a

virtually unstoppable close-rangenuclear payload into the heartof Russia.

Things cannot continue to goon as they are, indefinitely. The

world is on the edge of somethingmomentous, whether for good orill — either the promised Triumph

governments have gone so far asto deceive and even murder (orallow others to kill) their owncitizens in acts of war or false-flag acts of terrorism. They havedone this in order to provide totheir own citizens what seems at

opinion in favor of attacking othernations — have been discoveredto be embellished with lies or evento have been entirely fabricated.

• The undisputedly falsepretenses used by the U.S. to

justify its invasion of Iraq inMarch 2003, claiming that there was an imminent threat to theU.S. and to the world at largefrom active weapons-of-mass-destruction programs in Iraq,form a tragic exemplar of theabove pattern, and give solidgrounds for suspecting that the

U.S. government continues to thepresent day to attempt to deceiveits own citizens and the world inthis manner, by manufacturingoccasions for war as often as these

wars are desired.

Chapter 3

Nuclear War:A Growing Prospect

• Modern society is endangerednot just by unprecedentedlypowerful weapons, but most ofall by an increasing abandonmentof sound principles ofinternational relations.

• In our time, even in theonce-Christian West, thedeliberate killing of civiliansis now considered a legitimate

wartime strategy.

• Since the year 2002, the U.S.National Security Strategy (the“Bush Doctrine”) has claimed to

exempt the United States fromthe principles of internationallaw regarding non-interferenceand non-aggression, and fromthe necessity of demonstratingconclusive proof (as distinctfrom mere suspicion) of evildesigns by other nations and/or their governments beforeattacking them.

• At the present juncture, U.S.military policies are recklesslyprovoking Russia itself to make apre-emptive military response tothe many indications that the U.S.

intends to carry out a first-strikenuclear assault against Russia.

Chapter 4 What Will Nuclear War

Be Like?

• There are now more than17,000 strategic nuclear

warheads in the world, each of which threatens to create a hell onearth almost beyond our ability toimagine or describe.

• The burst or “pulse” ofelectromagnetic radiation (EMP)associated with thermonuclear

explosions presents, in itself, anequally lethal threat.

• There will be no winnerin any nuclear war, since the

ensuing effects on the earth’sclimate would cause a globalfamine, bringing self-assureddestruction by starvation even

to the “victorious” nation.• More dangerous than nuclear weapons themselves are the worldleaders who do not appreciatethese weapons’ potential lethalityfor the whole human race.

Part II — The One andOnly Solution

Chapter 1

In Essence

• Knowledge of and obedienceto the whole Message of Fatima isour only hope for avoiding war,famine, and other punishmentsfrom God which our sins arebringing down upon us.

• By the express words of OurLord and Our Lady, we know

without any doubt that ourpreservation depends upon the

Consecration of Russia — that without the Consecration, wecannot have peace, and thatif we do not have it in time,

we will suffer unprecedentedchastisements.

• The Church’s response to

Heaven’s command for theConsecration of Russia hinges onthe Pope’s decision, and thereforealso on our own efforts to movehim to obey.

Chapter 2In Detail

• The world is on the verge ofan historic change, of either great

tragedy, in a terrible disasterfor all mankind, or of great joy,in unprecedented blessings of

world peace. The latter (joyful)possibility will come aboutonly through the Consecrationof Russia by the Pope andCatholic bishops.

• With good reason, Our Ladyof Fatima has requested thatRussia specifically, and onlyRussia, be consecrated to HerImmaculate Heart.

• The adequate widespreadpromotion of the full Fatima

Message together with theconversion and prayers ofsufficient people — especiallythe reparatory devotions tothe Immaculate Heart of Maryrecommended in the Message ofFatima — would infallibly move

Heaven even at this late hour topreserve us from the coming war.

• Our time is now very short.If we continue our delay inobeying Heaven’s command forthe Consecration of Russia, thelooming tragedies of world war,the “annihilation of nations,”and the survivors “envying thedead” will overtake us and futuregenerations will make a proverbof our generation’s folly.|

Russia. Our Lord has especiallyentrusted the salvation of Russiaand the peace of the world to theImmaculate Heart of Mary, as Hetold Sister Lucy in a revelation of1936, and as Our Lady of Fatimarevealed to the children seers:

“[Our Lord said to me,] ‘TheImmaculate Heart of Mary will save Russia. It has beenentrusted to Her.’”2

It almost defies comprehensionthat any political leaderscould be nonchalant about

the risk of taking their countryinto war — or worse, that anyone

could desire to bring on a war —but in fact, war is at the heart ofthe program planned by secretsocieties to remake the worldaccording to a New World Order.The wars of the past centuryin particular have enabledFreemasonry to accomplish

their goals very rapidly, tooverthrow the remnants of theChristian social order and to setup new (godless) programs andinstitutions throughout much ofthe world.

The hellish nightmare of a

World War has already twice beenpurposely inflicted on mankind,1

and a third such war now faces usas an imminent threat. Heaven

“A little while before going tothe hospital, Jacinta [one of the

seers of Fatima] said to me: ‘Telleverybody that God grants usgraces through the ImmaculateHeart of Mary; that people areto ask Her for them; and thatthe Heart of Jesus wants theImmaculate Heart of Mary to be venerated at His side. Tell themalso to pray to the ImmaculateHeart of Mary for peace, sinceGod has entrusted it to Her.’”3

2. By Means of the Consecrationof Russia -

By Our Lord’s express commandto His Church, this interventionis to be sought and obtained by asolemn and public ceremony ofprayer and reparation, in whichthe Holy Father, in union with allthe Catholic bishops of the world,

As Our Lady of Fatima explained to thechildren seers, “God wills to establish inthe world the devotion to My ImmaculateHeart.” When the Pope and, at his order, allthe Catholic bishops of the world solemnly

consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heartof Mary, Our Lady’s incomparable meritswill earn for the world two tremendous,historic graces: conversion and peace.

When Sister Lucy asked Our Lord why

He would not grant these graces to theworld without the Consecration of Russia,He answered: “Because I want My wholeChurch to acknowledge that Consecration as

a Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Maryso that it may extend Its cult later on andplace the devotion to this Immaculate Heartbeside the devotion to My Sacred Heart.”

consecrates specifically Russia tothe Immaculate Heart of Mary,as was revealed to Sister Lucyin 1929:

“Our Lady said, ‘The momenthas come in which God asks ofthe Holy Father to make, andto order that in union withhim and at the same time, allthe bishops of the world makethe consecration of Russiato My Immaculate Heart,’

promising to convert it becauseof this day of prayer and

worldwide reparation.”4

3. By no other means than bythe Consecration of Russia -

There is absolutely no otherpossibility for avoiding the coming

wars than obeying Heaven’scommand for the Consecrationof Russia, as Our Lord told SisterLucy in 1936, and as Our Ladyemphasized again to her in 1952:

“Intimately I have spoken toOur Lord about the subject, andnot too long ago I asked Himwhy He would not convert Russiawithout the Holy Father makingthat consecration? ‘BecauseI want My whole Church toacknowledge that Consecrationas a Triumph of the ImmaculateHeart of Mary, so that it mayextend Its cult later on, andplace the devotion to thisImmaculate Heart beside thedevotion to My Sacred Heart.’”5

“Make it known to the Holy

Father that I still await theconsecration of Russia to MyImmaculate Heart. Withoutthis consecration Russia cannotbe converted, nor can the worldhave peace.”6

Moreover, we know without anydoubt that in the end (possiblyafter great trials for the world,including the annihilation of

various nations), the Pope andthe bishops will obey Heaven’s

command for the Consecrationof Russia, and that the graces ofconversion and world peace willfollow, as Our Lady promised tothe children seers in 1917, andas Our Lord confirmed to SisterLucy in 1931 and again in 1936:

“If My requests are heeded,Russia will be converted, andthere will be peace; if not,she will spread her errorsthroughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of theChurch. The good will bemartyred, the Holy Father will

have much to suffer, variousnations will be annihilated.… In the end, My ImmaculateHeart will triumph. The HolyFather will consecrate Russiato Me. Russia will be converted,and a period of peace will begiven to the world.”7

“[B]y means of an interiorcommunication, Our Lordcomplainingly said to me: ‘Theydid not want to heed My request.Like the King of France they will

repent and do so, but it will belate. Russia will already havespread her errors throughoutthe world, causing wars andpersecutions of the Church.The Holy Father will have muchto suffer!’”8

“‘But my God, the HolyFather probably won’tbelieve me, unless You Yourself move him with aspecial inspiration.’

“‘The Holy Father. Pray very much for the HolyFather. He will do it, but it

will be late! Nevertheless, theImmaculate Heart of Mary willsave Russia.’”9

There is no contradiction inthese revelations, which warnof possible disasters ahead(including even the annihilationof nations), while at the sametime promising the final triumphof the Immaculate Heart. The

question is purely one of timing:Our Lady’s triumph is sure “inthe end.” Whether or not the world suffers another global war, further persecutions of theChurch, and the annihilation ofnations en route to Our Lady’striumph depends on how longthe Pope and bishops continue todelay their obedience to Heaven’scommand for the Consecrationof Russia.

If we do nothing, there is goingto be a war and it is going to benuclear. Do we want to stop thecoming war and the annihilation

of nations? There is one way, andone way only: the Consecrationof Russia.

But we’re not the Pope. Whatcan we do?

We need to realize first of allthat our united voices have a great

deal of moral authority, evenif not de jure authority, withinthe Church. As members of aparish, members of a community,Members of Parliament, etc., we can powerfully petition theHoly Father to do what he needsto do. The message needs to be

loud and clear: “Holy Father, we’re in danger! We want you toconsecrate Russia!”

You can stop the Third WorldWar by signing such a petitionand by your prayers, especiallythe Rosary, along with a sufficient

number of others. How manyothers? God knows, but at somepoint it will be enough to draw aresponse from the Vatican. OurLord is expecting us to do at leastthis much.|

Opposing the Truth

For Heaven’s sake, don’t

underestimate the dangerand seriousness of this

silencing of the Message ofFatima. And Heaven help thepeople in authority in theChurch who have gone along

with this crime, whether out ofindifference or for the sake ofpreserving their careers – or even

worse, because they are Judases, who are intentionally betrayingJesus Christ, Mary Most Holy,

and each one of us.

One way to oppose the truth is

simply not to speak about it. Andin the hands of ill-informed orbad-willed priests and bishops,this can be a very powerfulopposition to the truth. These very men, who are established asthe public teachers in the Church,are (many of them) engaged ina program of criminal silence inregard to the Message of Fatima.

And as I said, this has been partof the picture since 1960, when

The following is an edited transcript of part of Father Gruner’s opening-dayspeech at the recent FATIMA: The Path to Peace! Conference in Niagara Falls,

Ontario. Father’s words have become more timely and urgent with each passingday, with the growing threat of a terrible major war breaking out at any moment.

Will Catholics wake up to the truth of the world’s situation in time to prevent anuclear holocaust claiming billions of lives? I guess the higher-ups whooppose Our Lady’s Messagerealized that I knew enoughtheology to see my way through

some of the more obvious ploysthat they’ve used with others.No superior has ever given mea direct order to stop promotingthe Message of Fatima. They’veoften made it pretty clear that thisis what they want, but they don’tdare give such an order.

The Message of Fatima has beenofficially approved and endorsedby Church authority. No one canforbid me to promote it – or ifsomeone were to try, I would askhim to put his order in writing,and then I would publish it along

with my response. No one’s goingto do that.

Cardinal Sodano, as the Vatican’s Secretary of State, tried very hard to get rid of me and OurLady’s Apostolate back in 1995.He used his influence over the

Congregation for the Clergy tomake things extremely difficultfor me. One ruse which theyattempted in order to stop mefrom speaking was to pressure mybishop (at that time, in Avellino,Italy) to order me to either beincardinated in another diocese,

or to come back to live in Avellino.Of course, the bishop didn’t really

want me there. My Italian wasn’tgood enough for me to be useful

by the Blessed Virgin’s expressorder the Third Secret was to bereleased. At that time, instead ofbeing given Our Lady’s words,

what we got was an anonymouspress release from the Vaticansaying that the Secret wouldprobably never be released. Thesource of the press release wenton even to cast doubt on thetruthfulness of the seers.

This insult to Our Lady will notbe expiated until the Pope doesa “mea culpa,” and publishesthe entire Secret – which at thispoint will be a very painful affairfor many of today’s churchmen, whose life’s work in the post-Conciliar Church is broadly

condemned by Our Lady’s wordsin the Fatima Message in general,and especially in the Third Secret.

Shooting the Messenger

The Message of Fatima has gonethrough very bad times since 1960– with some respite beginning

in 1981, when John Paul II wasshot on May 13th, the feast ofOur Lady of Fatima. I startedpromoting Our Lady’s Messagefull-time in August of 1977,thirty-seven years ago now. I cantell you that I have experienced

first-hand such roadblocks as Icouldn’t have imagined, and thatI wouldn’t have believed possiblein the Catholic Church.

to him, and he would have beenburdened with supporting me intheir diocese for the rest of my life.It was the last thing he wanted, but

he went along with those powerful Vatican bureaucrats who werepressuring him.

So I found a number of bishops who were willing to incardinateme. As on a previous occasion,one bishop told me in person ofhis willingness to incardinate me.Two more bishops went so far asto give me written assurances oftheir intentions. But each of thesethree bishops started receivingthe same signals from CardinalSodano and Cardinal Sanchez (atthat time the Cardinal Prefect of

the Congregation for the Clergy) –“Don’t take him. Don’t incardinatehim.” Thus two of these bishops

withdrew their offers.

A Diabolical Trap

It was a clever trap – diabolical,really. It was a complete inversion

of the responsibility they had anda total abuse of the authority thatthey held in the Church. Justthink about it: first they gave mea formal order, and then behindmy back they did everything theycould to prevent me from being

able to obey it. Then they accusedme of disobedience.

I found a heroic bishop ofa diocese in northern India,Bishop Rego. He wrote to the

Bishop of Avellino to initiatethe incardination process,but the Bishop of Avellino(still under pressure from the

Vatican) wouldn’t allow my ex-cardination! It was incredible.There he was giving me an orderto transfer into another diocese,and then refusing to give me thedocuments to be able to carry itout. Such hypocrisy.

I’ll tell you, the hypocrisy of the whole thing was really beyondanything I’d ever seen before. Itforced me to undertake difficultand expensive legal wrangling inthe ecclesiastical courts for years. You might think that things wouldbe different in the Church than

in civil courts, but in our days(when “the great apostasy in the[Catholic] Church will begin atthe top,” as Cardinal Ciappi tellsus is foretold in the Third Secret),ugly things can and do happen inthe Vatican.

I won’t mention here the namesof any of the people directlybehind these dishonest tacticsused against me, but I think it’simportant that you know what you’re up against if you’re on OurLady’s side. And let me emphasizethat all this resistance to my

desire to promote the Messageof Fatima was generated fromthe rather meager beginnings ofOur Lady’s Apostolate – prettytame material, as I look back

on it now. My troubles did notbegin in 1995 – they began in1980-81, when my Apostolatehad only been in existence for

five or so years, and had only afew thousand supporters.

The point is that I didn’t starttalking about the Consecration ofRussia until the summer of 1982,after John Paul II made his first

very public consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart inMay 1982, and I didn’t take on theThird Secret until after meetingFrère Michel in Novemberof 1985.

Before that time, I was justtalking about the Message inits simplest terms: pray the

Rosary, wear the Scapular, do your daily duty; Communism isevil, and the errors of Russia arespreading all around us. Eventhese more widely known partsof the Message were being foughtagainst even then by high-placed

Vatican officials – not by the Pope,but by people in his inner circleof advisors.

Powerful ChurchmenOppose Our Lady’s Message

We know that the Message ofFatima has been opposed from

the very beginning – from Lucia’smother (until the Miracle of theSun), God bless her, the good woman, to the Masonic mayorof Ourem and the anti-clerical

press, as well as the Portuguesearmy. For many years, too, ithas been opposed within theChurch. I hope that you will all

take an opportunity to read ChrisFerrara’s recent important book, False Friends of Fatima. It willopen your eyes to the oppositionto Fatima that exists to this dayamong the Catholic clergy, andeven among lay people whofalsely claim to be devoted to Our

Lady of Fatima.

Secretary of StateExercises Vast Power

Within the Church

Cardinal Bertone, the present Vatican Secretary of State,1 figures prominently in Chris’book. Many people don’t realizehow much power the VaticanSecretary of State has withinthe Church, especially in termsof the day-to-day operations ofall the various Congregations ofthe Roman Curia.

Ever since the reorganizationof the Vatican that took place in1967, the Secretary of State hasbasically run the Church on a day-to-day basis. Everyone answersmore or less directly to him, notto the Pope or to the Prefect of

what used to be the Holy Office(now called the Congregationfor the Doctrine of the Faith).The Secretary of State is in some

ways today more powerful than

the Pope himself.

I remember writing to PopeJohn Paul II just after he was

shot, in May 1981. I sent hima fifteen-page letter asking forhis intervention against those Vatican bureaucrats who werepersecuting me then. I sent it toa friend of mine, a Father McGee, who was serving as the Pope’sprivate secretary, and asked himto present it to the Holy Father.Well, I went to see Father McGeea few months later, in August,and I asked him, “Did you get myletter?” He said, “Yes.” And I said,“Did you read it to the Pope?” Heanswered: “Well, I read a good

part of it. It was a long letter!”I was delighted at first, when he

told me he had read it to the Pope.

But then I asked him, “Where isthe letter now?” And he said,“Well, I gave it to the Secretary

of State.” I said, “Why did you dothat?!” His answer amazed me.That was when I finally beganto understand. He said, “He’smy boss!”

That’s how it stands now inthe Vatican. Even the Pope’sprivate secretary answers to theSecretary of State. The Secretaryof State’s power is enormous.

“The NunciosAre Terrible!”

I once asked a bishop in Brazilif he would help me out with my

situation. He expressed a desire tohelp me, but he felt powerless todo so. He said to me, “You know,the nuncios are terrible!” That’s

what he said to me – meaning, of

Lucci, five different times, maneuvered himself to an advantageous position near the Pope,speaking to him on two different occasions. He handed Pope Francis a leaflet which askedfor the Consecration of Russia. As you can see, the Pope stopped to read it attentively. Faith

course, that the apostolic nuncios would block anything he mighttry to do for me, and might evenbring his own position in the

Church to a premature end. He wished me luck, and told me thathe couldn’t do anything for me.

The nuncios, of course, workdirectly under the Secretaryof State.

The Ongoing Disaster

of June 26, 2000Well, the good news is that

Cardinal Bertone will be retiring,as of October 15th (2013). He hasbeen the enforcer, so to speak,for the past 13 years, of theParty Line advanced by Cardinal

Sodano on June 26, 2000, in thebooklet The Message of Fatima(TMF – a hornets’ nest of half-truths and outright falsehoods).Then-Archbishop Bertone, asSecretary of the Congregationfor the Doctrine of the Faith, went on record in the same

document claiming that “thereis only one manuscript” of theThird Secret (that being the 64-line text describing the Vision of a“Bishop dressed in White”); thatthe Consecration of Russia is overand done with, saying that John

Paul II’s 1984 consecration of the world “corresponded” to whatOur Lady wished; and thereforethat “any further discussion orrequest [for the Consecration of

Russia] is without basis.”2

Fraudulent Letters

He cited, as proof of this

nonsense, a letter supposedly written by Sister Lucy. Exceptthat he doesn’t give us a copy ofthe letter – neither its full text,nor a photo image of any part ofit. Nor does he tell us to whomthe letter was addressed. All hetells us is that in a “letter of 8

November 1989,” Sister Lucy“personally confirmed that thissolemn and universal act ofconsecration corresponded to what Our Lady wished: ‘Yes ithas been done just as Our Ladyasked, on 25 March 1984.’”

We don’t need to see theletter, however, because wealready know it to be a fraud.That letter was sent by someonepurporting to be Sister Lucy to aMr. Walter Noelker. It was one offive notorious forgeries producedbetween August 1989 and July

1990, which had been debunkedby the French religious of the CRC(La Contre-Réforme Catholique)under the Abbé Georges deNantes, almost as quickly as they

were produced.3

That Archbishop Bertone had

the temerity to trot out one ofthese long-since-discreditedfraudulent letters is as amazingas it is inexcusable. It speaks

volumes that this was the only

scrap of evidence he couldmuster to substantiate hisposition – especially given thatSister Lucy was still alive at

the time, and could have beenpresent to personally confirmall of the Archbishop’s claims, ifthey were indeed true!

Those five letters were all clumsyfrauds, each containing factualerrors that Sr. Lucia would neverhave made. In this Noelker letter,for instance, the author refers toPaul VI’s visit to Fatima on May 13,1967, saying that he performeda consecration of the world atthat time. He did no such thing,beyond blessing some Pilgrim Virgin statues, and the real Sister

Lucy was present at that visit.She would not have made thatgross error.

Forensic ExpertsProve the Letters Are Forged

One of these five originalfraudulent letters had been

sent to Father Kramer (who hasoften collaborated with me at theFatima Center), and we submittedthis letter to a forensic expert. Heformally examined the signatureon the letter, comparing it toSister Lucy’s known writing, and

he pronounced it to be a forgery.

Frère François de Marie des

Anges of the Contre-RéformeCatholique publicly challengedthe authenticity of these letters,

both in his writings5 and inpersonal confrontations withthe persons – churchmen, in fact– whom he publicly accused of

producing these forgeries, or ofpublishing them as if authentic.They never denied his face-to-face accusations.6

The Bishop of Leiria-Fatima,Msgr. Alberto Cosme do Amaral,organized an “InternationalPastoral Conference” to takeplace in the Paul VI Center inFatima on the days precedingthe October 13th anniversarypilgrimage in 1992. On Sunday,October 11th, the second-to-lastday of the conference, Father LuisKondor (then Vice-Postulator

for the beatification of BlessedsFrancisco and Jacinta) presidedover a session in the mainamphitheater in which FatherRobert Fox (then publisher ofThe Immaculate Heart Messenger)gave a presentation about his work in the so-called “Fatima

Family Apostolate.”

False Fables ofFather Fox

A discussion-session followedthe presentation, during whicha man in the audience said:

“I know that you, ReverendFather Fox, have announced inthe U.S.A. that the Consecrationof Russia was accomplishedon March 25, 1984, and in so

doing you have appealed tothe alleged testimony of SisterLucy. Now Fatima experts,such as Brother François ofSt. Mary of the Angels, havedemonstrated that the allegedoral declarations of Lucy which you have reported, werenothing more than fables. Fiveletters of Sister Lucy in which itis said that the Consecration wasdone, have been propagatedsince August 1989. Now these

letters have been denouncedas fakes. They are apocryphal.Brother François has publishedproof of this and no one hascontradicted him.”7

Father Fox made no reply tothis! Instead, Father Kondor made

a brief statement regarding somehistorical details concerning theThird Secret.

Then Frère François went tothe microphone and addressedboth priests:

“Allow me to introduce

myself: Brother François of St.Mary of the Angels. It seemsto me, Reverend Father, thatthere are some inaccuraciesin your account of theThird Secret. …

As for the accusationsconcerning the apocryphal

[fake] letters of Lucy, I amprepared to justify them or ifneed be, to retract them if mycriticisms of those letters arerefuted in a decisive manner.”

No Answersto the Accusation

Neither priest had a wordto say. They had just been

publicly accused of propagatingfraudulent, lying letters attributedto the seer of Fatima, and theycould not utter a single word intheir own defense. The session was hastily closed, as thoughnothing had been said!8

Father René Laurentin, the world-famous Professor ofMariology, attended the closingsession of the conference onMonday morning, October12th. After the session, as theamphitheater was emptying,he saw Frère François, and

asked him: Father Rene Laurentin [FrL]:

What are you doing here? Didthey allow you to participate?

Father Kondor [FrK] joined thegroup, and Frère François [FF]

addressed him as well, extendingto him a copy of his latestCRC article:

[FrK]: “What letters?” (hesaid, laughing. )

Frère François showed them tohim, and Father Kondor began

[FF]: But you are very wellacquainted with them since you

have fabricated them.Father Kondor made no attempt

to deny the charge. Finally, as they were leaving the Paul VI Center,they met Father Fox [FOX], whogreeted Frère François:

[FOX]: “I love you in

the Lord.”Frère François answered:

[FF]: They delivered myarticles to you this morning?

[FOX]: Yes, I know Fatherde Nantes.

[FF]: I am talking to you

about the articles denouncingthe fabrications and apocryphal[fake] character of the letters you have published. I amawaiting your retraction.9

Silence SaysEverything

No response. Nothing. Not fromMsgr. Guerra, nor Father Kondor,nor Father Fox. Their silencesays everything.

Those typewritten, computer-generated letters had alreadybeen publicly and utterly

discredited for ten years whenBertone wrote his Introductionto TMF , citing the fake Noelkerletter as evidence of his claims.They had even been discussed as

forgeries in editorials published inthe daily newspaper of Coimbra, Diario de Coimbra.10 They werea public laughing-stock, an

embarrassment, exposed both inprint and in person, in the faceof their real authors, at a publicconference put on by the Bishop ofFatima. These were public events

with an abundance of witnesses,matters of public record that tookplace at their own conference.

We ourselves, at Our Lady’s Apostolate, had also publishedthe evidence that the letters were frauds, as early as 1989,and we continued to publishthat evidence many times in the

interim before June 26, 2000.11

No Denial,No Refutation!

We published these facts againand again, while Father Fox andFather Kondor were both stillalive, and not once did they evertry to challenge us, either to deny

or refute what we had said. Theyhad every opportunity to do so ifthey had wanted to.

So it’s no wonder that Archbishop Bertone was not willing to give us all the detailsabout this “letter of 8 November

1989.” He could not cite theentire letter or venture to nameits recipient, because that letter was known throughout the world to have been a hoax – a

shameless deception.

Neither did he dare to bringSister Lucy out of her prison offormal silencing to personally and

publicly either vouch for what he was claiming, or to acknowledgeherself as the author of thatdisputed letter.

(As Chris Ferrara points outin his book The Secret Still Hidden, Bertone had another

opportunity to settle this obviousand burning question of theauthenticity of the Noelker letter,

when he went to see Sister Lucyin Coimbra again on November17, 2001. The whole purposeof his second interview was tobolster the sagging credibility of

TMF , but again for some reason,he neglected to ask her to verifythat she had indeed written thatletter. Or if he did ask her, he mustnot have gotten the answer thathe wanted.)

When Cardinals Sodano

and Ratzinger and ArchbishopBertone published their booklet,The Message of Fatima (TMF), onJune 26, 2000, they includedfully a dozen photo-reproductionsof original sources cited, butthey give us no glimpse ofthis crucial document, which

Bertone advanced as his solepiece of evidence for a ludicrouscontention that puts all of ourlives and souls at risk.

Thirteen Yearsof Lies

Honestly, it was all so clumsyand obvious to anyone who

bothered to verify Bertone’ssources, but he pursued these liesfor the next thirteen years. He isfinally leaving his public officenow without a scrap of personalcredibility. It is sad, really, forhim and for Our Lady, and for allmankind. This has been another

major roadblock facing HerMessage for years on end – theintentional hiding of facts anddocuments from the faithful byhigh-ranking Vatican bureaucrats, who carry out their schemes withmental reservations, half-truths,

and downright falsehoods. Thesemen are leading whole nations toannihilation, and millions of soulsto eternal ruin.

We Need theConsecration of Russia

We have published proofs

of our position about theConsecration of Russia timeand again, but you don’t needto read The Fatima Crusader to know that Our Lady is stillawaiting this Consecration. Youcan look anywhere in the worldand see that we do not havepeace. Yet Our Lady promisedthat the whole world would havepeace if Russia were properlyconsecrated to Her Immaculate

made no attacks against theUnited States – it is in no way athreat to the United States – and yet they are debating and votingon deploying their tremendouslydestructive ships and planes andbombs against Syria.

The World’s DescentInto Barbarism

It’s hard to believe that thesethings are happening, thatanyone would consider doingsuch things, but it’s true. Thisis the stage we have come toin the world’s descent intobarbarism. There are so manypeople who are hoping andpushing for war. I just hopeand pray that finally someone– maybe someone in this room whom Our Lady has brought here– can reach the leaders of the

world and of the Church withthis very simple Message fromOur Lady:

The Holy Father simply has tocommand the bishops to join himin consecrating not the world,but Russia, to the ImmaculateHeart of Mary, on the same

day and at the same hour asthe Pope’s own Consecrationceremony. The bishops couldcome and personally jointhe Holy Father in Rome,

or in Tuy (where the formalrequest for the Consecrationof Russia was given to SisterLucy), or wherever the HolyFather chooses to performthe Consecration. Or, if somebishops prefer (and the Popeallows it), they could organizepublic and formal ceremoniesof their own to take place on thesame day and at the same hourin their own cathedrals.

If there were some few bishops who refuse to participate – and Ibelieve that there would be veryfew, if any, who would refuse– they would not present anyproblem to the fulfillment ofOur Lady’s request. She specifiedthat all the Catholic bishops of

the world are to perform theConsecration in union withthe Pope.

The Pope Can Commandthe Bishops To Join Him

The Holy Father could decreein the same order in which heannounces the Consecration, thatany bishop who neglects to joinhim would be immediately andautomatically excommunicatedfor his disobedience. Any suchmen would then no longer bemembers of the Catholic Church

at the time of the Consecration,and Our Lady’s request wouldhave been fulfilled to the letter. All the Catholic bishops wouldhave participated.

We must also remember,as Sister Lucy explained in aMarch 21, 1982 interview with

Archbishop Portalupi (the Papal

Nuncio to Lisbon) and Bishop do Amaral of Leira-Fatima, if somebishops were truly prevented byillness or imprisonment from joining in the act of Consecration,this would not compromise the“moral unanimity” of the Catholicbishops’ participation.12

Now some people might findsuch a thing difficult to imagine.It’s not, really. This afternoon we’ll hear Dr. Bruce Walters’presentation about his book,

Russian Sunrise. It’s a book writtenabout the future. As such, it is a

story of how the Consecration ofRussia could possibly take place.The details of its fulfillment maybe different from how it actuallytakes place. But we do know thatin just one day in the future thisact of obedience – this act ofconsecration – will take place.

This book demonstrates very well what has to be done andhow easily it could be done – howrealistic Our Lady’s request is.

Our Lady’sPersonal Guarantee

We have Our Lady’s guaranteethat it will happen:

“In the end, My ImmaculateHeart will triumph. The HolyFather will consecrate Russia to

Me. Russia will be converted, anda period of peace will be given tothe world.”

Notice Our Lady’s words: “ In

the end” – that is, after somedelay – “ My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” This triumph hasthree stages. The first stage isOur Lady’s triumph over the HolyFather himself, who will finallyrender his overdue obedience toHer command: “The Holy Father

will consecrate Russia to Me.”The second stage will follow asa direct result, a recognizableeffect of the first stage, whenOur Lady’s Immaculate Heart hasbeen fittingly honored: “ Russia will be converted.”

Finally, the third stage follows– again, as a manifest result ofthe prior stage, when Russia

will have ceased spreading hererrors and fomenting wars andpersecutions of the Church and ofthe Holy Father, and will instead

be a positive force for Jesus andMary and for spreading the trueFaith throughout the world.Like St. Paul,13 who had beenthe greatest persecutor of theChurch, but became (as a “vesselof election”) the greatest of allthe Apostles, so too will Russia’s

conversion be instrumental inbringing about the third stage:“ A period of peace will be givento the world.”|

In June 2000, the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of theFaith published a booklet (misleadingly) titled The Message of

Fatima[TMF], in which the Third Secret of Fatima was supposedlybeing disclosed in its entirety. “There is only one manuscript,” theCongregation’s Secretary, then-Archbishop Bertone, assured us,

“which is here reproduced photostatically.”

Archbishop Bertone’s claim that the Third Secret consists of onlythe portion which he published in The Message of Fatima [TMF] wasa direct contradiction of the prior well-known admission by FatherJoseph Schweigl (whom Pope Pius XII had sent to interview SisterLucy about the Third Secret in September 1952) that the Third Secrethas two parts, the most important being in Our Lady’s own words:

“I cannot reveal anything of what I learned at Fatima concerningthe Third Secret, but I can say that it has two parts: One concernsthe Pope. The other, logically — although I must say nothing — would have to be the continuation of the words: ‘In Portugal, thedogma of the Faith will always be preserved.’”2

The manuscript published in June 2000 could well be said toconcern the Pope. It was a description of a Vision given to the children-seers, of “a Bishop dressed in White” who gave them “the impression

that he was the Holy Father”; a Vision in which, too, the true HolyFather was seen fleeing past corpses through a half-ruined city andup a steep mountain, where (along with other bishops, priests,religious, and even laymen) he is killed by soldiers who fire a hail ofbullets and arrows at him.

This Vision (which includes not a single word from Our Lady), we were told by Archbishop Bertone, depicted the “tragic and cruelevents” of the 20th Century, particularly the attempted assassinationof Pope John Paul II in 1981. Thus (as we were conveniently assured

in the same booklet (TMF ), in a portion quoting Cardinal Sodano,then the Vatican’s Secretary of State) “the events to which the thirdpart of the ‘secret’ of Fatima refers now seem part of the past.”

Better still (as Archbishop Bertone observed in TMF ), thispublication of the Secret in the year 2000 had brought to an endthat unfortunate “period of history marked by tragic human lust forpower and evil”! How so? Pope John Paul II’s 1984 Consecration ofthe world “corresponded” to what Our Lady of Fatima requested.Demonstration of this, and of Archbishop Bertone’s assertion that“any further discussion or request [for the Consecration of Russia] is
