Coach Walter was named head baseball coach at Wake Forest on June 16, 2009. In only his second year

at the helm of WFU baseball - the team improved immensely - enjoying a trip to the 2011 ACC Baseball

Tournament. More impressive than any of his on-the-field accomplishments, this past February -

Walk for HungerWalk for HungerWalk for HungerWalk for Hunger………… This year - Deep Creek Friends is sponsoring the annual “Walk for Hunger” to benefit Yadkin Christian Ministries effort to assist families in crisis with food, medication, rent, heat, power and water. The date is THISTHISTHISTHIS Sunday afternoon and it will begin at 3 pm in the Yadkinville Community Park - Farmer’s Market area. Registration will be from 2:15 - 2:45 pm. Several of our youth are planning on walking and are needing “sponsors”. There will be LIVE music by The Bell Branch Boys...this is a great activity for ALL ages. Prizes will be awarded to the individual & church who raises the most money and to the church who has the most walkers!!
