This report features areas that have recorded the largest increase in median price over the past 12 months, based on RP Data figures as at March 2012. The list is heavily dominated by regional markets, with nearly two-thirds of the top growth areas located more than 50km outside the capitals. NSW regional suburbs were especially well represented, with resources and other economic activity boosting growth. A slight surprise is the performance of a pocket of suburbs surrounding Adelaide, where 11 areas made the list.
