HNBR (grey)

HNBR has been developed recently to meet higher temperatures than standard NBR while retaining resistance to petroleum based oils. Ob-

tained by hydrogenating the nitrile copolymer. HNBR fills the gap left between NBR, EPDM and FKM elastomers where high temperature

conditions require high tensile strength while maintaining excellent resistance to motor oils, sour gas, amine/oil mixtures, oxidized fuels and

lubricating oils. HNBR is resistant to mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids, animal and vegetable fats, diesel fuel, ozone, sour gas, dilute acids and

bases. HNBR also resists new bio-oils (biological oils). HNBR is suitable for high dynamic loads and has a good abrasion resistance. HNBR is

suitable for temperatures from -30°C to +150°C (-22°F to +302°F).The carboxyl group is added to significantly improve the abrasion resistance

of NBR while retaining excellent oil and solvent resistance. HNBR compounds provide high tensile strength and good physical properties at

high temperatures.

• rolled out thread (the second sheet can be pulled tight)

• surface hardness has been tripled

• the supplementary GOEBEL silver GL coating reduces the screw-in resistance and provides additionally corrosion protection

The SUPER A4 and DUPLEX tap (1) shapes the thread (2) and fastens the predrilled/prepunched stainless steel sheets in a single workstep (3).

The pretapping with a steel screw is unnecessary.

• AISI 316 L HARDENED – SUPER - 3 times harder as ordinary stainless steel. No damage on the thread. Only pre-drilled or punched holes necessary – no more pre screwing with steel screws (dangerous because of steel – corrosion).

• time saving – screwing in 1 step

• silver slide GL coating – has a slide effect and also protects the stainless steel against corrosion

• available with washers – PA 6.6 (Polyamide) which is oil resistant - service temperature -40°C till +85°C ( -40°F till +185°F ) stainless steel AISI 316 / EPDM washers which are sealing perfect - EPDM is covered from the stainless steel sheet – service temperature -30°C till +130°C ( -22°F till +266°F )

GOEBEL SILVER GL SLIDE COATING

The Goebel silver GL slide coating provides optimum sealing with multifunctional properties, which guarantees excellent corrosion protection and simultaneously reduces the screw-in resistance. It is free from heavy metals which are harmful to health such as Cr-(VI) and is compliant with the EU directives concerning end-of-life vehicles (2000/53/EC) and electronic waste (2002/95/EC). It is available in different colours: e.g. silver, black, green and red.

Properties: superior adhesive strength, high hardness with good flexibility, high abrasion resistance, good resistance to weathering (but not chalk resistant), high electrical insulating property (good protection against contact corrosion), superior resistance to chemicals, superior resistance proven in salt spray test, excellent resistance to sulphur dioxide proven in Kesternich test, excellent resistance to mineral oil, fuels, lubricants and grease, brake fluids, coolants, etc.

The GOEBEL-silver-GL-slide-coating has a special resistance to chemicals.For production lines with very corrosive atmospheres, e.g. in vinegar production and/or cleansing material and disinfectant, the application must be clarified before start of construction.
