Testing Procedure (For Oropharyngeal/Nasopharyngeal Swab)

Interpretation of Result

Squeeze and shake the tube; stir the swab around 10 seconds.

Try to release all the liquid absorbed in the swab.

Add 2 drops into the specimen hole.Tighten the tube cap.

Gather saliva sample till it reaches the line marked on the tube.

Mix saliva with extraction solution evenly.

Add 2 drops into the specimen hole.

Oropharyngeal Swab: Hold the swab and wipe the pharyngeal tonsils on both sides of the patient a little bit hard back and forth at least 3 times.

Nasopharyngeal Swab: Slowly rotate the swab through the nasal lateral wall into the patient's nostril to the nasal palate, and then slowly remove it while wiping.

Negative Positive Invalid

Read the test result within 20-30 minutes.
