Work with site librarians to identify their particular interests, issues, opportunities and choose a Kick-off date/time/theme that meets’ library’s needs
Work with Librarian to develop FFNM Kick-off theme and invite appropriate local leaders and media
Choose Speakers and planned short program Secure sponsors for food/giveaways, etc. Invite local ISPs to share info Registration stations and instructors available for assistance

Trainers’ Orientation
1. Introduction and orientation to FFNM project, materials and training (1-2 hours)
2. Review of Trainer Toolkit (1-2 hours)
3. Curriculum Review1. Course 1 (4 hours)2. Course 2 (4 hours)3. Course 3 (4 hours)4. Course 4 (4 hours)
4. Classroom observation – All trainers must observe at least 2 full sessions of the training before teaching their first class (3 hours + 1 hour review = 4 hours)
5. Team teaching – all trainers must participate in at least one session of “team teaching” with a Lead Trainer (3 hours + 1 hour review = 4 hours
6. Participation in quarterly Trainers’ Retreat (6 hours)

In coordination with the State Library, site libraries are introduced to FFNM program. During training months, select library staff attends
FFNM classes as observer. Libraries elect to participate in NMSL Train-the-Trainer
Program and provide on-going FFNM trainings.
