Fashion spread 4 production process.

Ben Whitehurst

To begin the production of this of my fourth and final fashion spread I picked the photograph that I would edit.

The next step of the production of my fourth and final fashion spread was to edit and manipulate the original photograph that I took, I did these manipulations on Photoshop as I changed the brightness levels on a separate layer on Photoshop. I believed the manipulations were relevant to the theme of spring as the image is bright.

The next part of the production process for my fourth fashion spread was to apply by-line to the bottom left hand corner of the spread. I did this action in Photoshop by creating a new layer and inserting a text box into the main image, the text I inserted stated ‘photograph: Ben Whitehurst makeup: lipstick – Superdrug’. The font I used for this text was ‘Brush Script Std.’ and the font size for this text was size 12.

The next part of the production process for my fourth fashion spread was to insert a love heart as it is conventional to the theme of spring. I did this by finding an image on the internet and I removed the background on Photoshop, I did this by using the background remover tool on Photoshop. The original colour of the heart was red, however I decided to change the colour of It to pink to make it much more conventional to the theme of spring. I did this by creating a new layer in Photoshop and then altering the hue/saturation layers.

The next part of the production process for my fourth fashion spread was to apply main headline to the to the spread. I did this action in Photoshop by creating a new layer and inserting a text box into the main image, the text I inserted stated ‘love spring fashion’. The font I used for this text was ‘Brush Script Std.’ and the font size for this text was size 36.

The final part of the production process for my fourth fashion spread was to apply text to the bottom of the spread. I did this action in Photoshop by creating a new layer and inserting a text box into the main image, the text I inserted stated ‘clothing: Jacket – H&M, makeup: lipstick – Superdrug’. The font I used for this text was ‘Brush Script Std.’ and the font size for this text was size 12. I decided to use this font because It relates to the Mise-en -Scene of the fashion spread.
