Introduction• This project will be used as a portion of a kindergarten unit on

farms. • Students will have learned some information about what farms are

for and why they are important to our society.• One element that will be added to this unit is an audio narration

for each slide. Because not all young students are able to read- this will accommodate their level of ability. Unfortunately, my system does not allow for audio so this will have to be added using the school computers.

• Students will have the opportunity to view this slideshow on our classroom computer or in a computer lab. Once3 students have completed the slide, everyone will come together to discuss what they have learned.

• As a whole class, we complete a KWL chart, the Know portion before students use the slideshow.

Farm in Monroe County. We will get a

chance to see how farmers lived and worked during the

late 1800’s and early 1900’s. While on our trip, think about the things you have seen

• The goal is to have students analyze and compare historical information to better understand the importance of agriculture and farming and how it has evolved over time.
