Be respectful— Be Responsible— Be Safe Dear Parents/ Guardians:
We hope everyone had a restful Spring Break!
Welcome back to school for our final three months
of the school year. This is the part of the school
year where many of our students show us how
quickly they can accelerate in their learning by
being on time for school and attending school on a
regular basis.
Regular attendance at school is vital for your son
or daughter to achieve their fullest potential and
experience success in the classroom. We have been
working toward improving attendance as a goal for
Faraday School for the past four years. Based on
our data, we have been making steady
improvements to attendance.
I encourage each parent/guardian to attend the
Triad Conferences being held April 24th from 5:00-
8:00 PM or April 25th all day. Student Led
Conferences provides your child the opportunity to
showcase and get feedback from you about his/her
work. Our goal is to reach 100% participation. If
you are unable to make an appointment on either of
these days, please arrange an alternative time with
the classroom teacher.
With spring upon us we are planning to plant our
school garden boxes with vegetables and herbs
again this year. If there are any parents
interested in watering and caring for the
gardens over the summer months, please contact
the school to make arrangements.
Faraday is a Positive Behavioural Interventions
and Supports (PBIS) school and we all follow the
three B’s: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be
Respectful. During the month of April we will be
doing some common area training with all
students and the staff will be trying to catch
them doing the right things and following the B’s.
Students will be getting “Gotcha” slips and
possibly winning prizes!!
A new initiative at Faraday is our Conflict
Managers. Many of the grade 5 and 6 students
have volunteered to be trained in preventing and
solving conflicts on our playground at recess. The
Conflict Managers are gaining valuable leadership
skills while the rest of the school can count of a
safer playground.

LUNCH PROGRAM
Lunch fees are due the first of the month. Deadline is the 10th of the month.
Fees after this date are considered a delinquent account, telling us that you no longer need your space. Lunch
fees provide the supervision you need! If you no longer need your space, please let the Lunch Program
coordinator know. We still have many families who are working or attending school during the day and require
a lunch space. Thank you.
NO FEES-NO SPOT
Thank you to all those families who make the Lunch Program fees a part of their monthly budget and remind
their children of lunch program expectations. “Quiet talking voices during lunch program create a happier atmosphere.” Lunch Program is a privilege. Thank you to all the Lunch Supervisors for all your hard work.
Remember the Three B’s of Lunch Program: Be Respectful - Be Responsible - Be Safe
