ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at the UM School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) leads to a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national specialty certi� cation examinations (ANCC and AANP). Certi� ed FNP’s provide a wide range of health care services to individuals and families in a variety of clinical settings. Graduates of the program are prepared to make independent and collaborative decisions, sound clinical judgments and be leaders in their profession.
