3/6 NEWS Lots of great learning has been happening in the 3-6 classroom over the past few weeks. In
mathematics we have finished learning various addition and subtraction strategies to assist
students with mental computation. This week our focus has been on time and the measuring of
time as well as reading both analogue and digital clocks. I recommend that you have a
conversation with your child about reading the time and what they are focusing on in class.
We are getting excited in 3-6 about the upcoming school Cross Country. Last week we had some
past student come in and walk the track with the whole school, which was nice. Since then we
have been practicing the top half of the track with infants students. Keep an eye out for the
permission note coming home soon.
Congratulations to Keira for achieving Champion with her fantastic horse
riding skills, at the ‘Hawkesbury to Hunter Working Equitation’ competition.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND CARERS
For the safety of our students the staff car park is NOT to be used for dropping off/ picking up
students from school or parent parking in general. It is for staff parking only. Children getting on
and off the bus need to walk through the car park and it makes it very dangerous if there are cars
driving in and out. We appreciate your support in this matter with keeping our students safe at all
times.
