Recruitment Wrap-up Looking back on the busy months of this fall, we are delighted with all that we have been able to accomplish. We kicked off the semester with another

successful recruitment and have welcomed 56 new Zeta sisters into our

chapter.

Our success cannot go without thanks to the several people that helped out during recruitment. Of course, a big thanks goes out to our recruitment

chair, Caroline Hall (and her committee) and her tireless efforts

throughout the long month! Also, we are so thankful for all of the support

from advisors, visiting TLC’s, and our national president, Ms. Keeley Riddle. We are also very lucky to have such an involved alumni base in our area, and we are very appreciative of all of their assistance throughout recruitment. It has been exciting to see how far our

chapter has come in such a short time!

Farewell to Fall; Welcoming Winter

With autumn coming to an end, it is time to reflect on everything that the Alpha Gamma chapter has been up to! From service to philanthropy, our studies to sisterhood, there is no limit to what us Zetas can do! We are so excited about our involvement within our organization and the community and we continue to raise the bar for new goals and endeavors for our chapter.

Busy with Service! We have had the wonderful opportunity to take

on several service projects this semester and have had so much fun with each one!

Cookie Baking Our sisters experienced another successful cookie

baking service with all of the cookies donated to the Ronald McDonald house in Ann Arbor. We delivered

8 platters of cookies to the house, and they were gratefully enjoyed!

Senior Prom Taking a trip to University Assisted Living, 20 of our sisters enjoyed a night of music and dancing with the senior citizens. We had such a great time getting to

know and share stories with them and we look forward to future senior proms!

Bach Science Night Helping out Bach elementary school with their science fair, we had a fantastic time teaching the children about science! From making slime to learning about blood pressure, it was a night of fun had by all and it was a great hands-on experience for the students.

‘Netiquette’ with the Girl Scouts On a Sunday in November, we welcomed Girl Scout

troops from all over the surrounding areas in Michigan to our house so we could help them earn their

Netiquette badge. Through the 9 stations set up in our house, girls learned how to be safe on the Internet and

we also held a forum where the girls could ask questions and receive answers about breast cancer.

Pinknic!

gymnast Sam Mikulak in the mix, it made for a tough competition for the others and he was the best chest champ! Everyone had such a great time at this event and the zeta lawn was a sea of pink! Through this event we raised about $1200 and were excited to see how much awareness we raised on campus. At this event we also passed out some of our new pink ribbons and continue to see them worn around campus.

Lion’s Game

Expanding our largest philanthropy event of the year, this October we raised the bar with our very first Pinknic! Adding to the annual yogurt eating contest, this year we incorporated a pink lemonade pong competition as well as a best chest competition (for men only!). For the best chest competition, men got to show off their guns as the women bought raffle tickets from them in order to win a date! With the Olympian

This fall we took another trip into Detroit to pass out our pink ribbons before the Lion’s football

game. This is always a fun event for our chapter because we are able to meet up with the Zeta

chapters from Central Michigan University and Michigan State University to spread breast cancer awareness together. It is always heart-warming to see how excited the fans are to support the cause,

and this was seen by the more than $200 we collected in donations! We cannot wait until our

next visit!
