Peosta Code Section 4-1-2 requires all dogs within

the Peosta city limits be licensed annually.

Renewal letters for the 2018 licenses will be

mailed in November.

The annual cost of a dog license is $10 per dog

not altered. You can renew or purchase your

license by dropping payment and proof of rabies

vaccination in the utility drop box, mailing via US

mail, stopping at City Hall, contacting one of the

police officers, or paying online at

Snow Emergency

If a Snow Emergency has been declared by the City of Peosta, all

vehicles must be removed from City streets. Please visit

www.cityofpeosta.org and the City of Peosta Facebook page for

snow emergency updates.

Driveways and Snow Removal From

Private Property

City snowplows will not clear private driveways. The snow placed in

the driveways by the city plows is an unavoidable consequence of

removing snow from the streets and it is the responsibility of the

property owner to remove. Snow from private driveways, private

parking lots and sidewalks may not be placed on city streets

Sidewalks

To help ensure that sidewalks are safe during the

winter, City ordinance requires owners to clear sidewalks

of snow. Please do not blow snow on City Streets when

clearing your driveway and sidewalks.

FUNdamental Basketball

Zumba:

COMMUNITY REMINDERS For your convenience there is a drop box for utility payments located in the upper level parking lot of the Peosta

Community Centre. Please contact City Hall to begin using ACH withdrawals from your checking or savings

account each month. Credit cards are now accepted at City Hall and on the City website. Convenience fees

will apply.

The compost site, located at the west end of Kapp Drive across from Bodine Electric Company is open. Residents

can dispose of yard waste and other compostable materials, please observe the signs directing where the materials

should be placed. Compost site is scheduled to close on December 1st.

Garbage tags are available at City Hall, Peosta Community Centre lower level registration desk , Casey’s, Kwik

Stop, and Fareway for $1.25 each. Extra recycling bins or lids are available for purchase, please contact City Hall if

you are interested in purchasing either of these items.

Office hours for City Hall are Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30 and Friday from 8-noon. If you are unable to take care

of City business during these hours, please contact City Hall to make alternate arrangements.

Radon testing kits are available at City Hall for $6, this includes the test kit, postage for mailing the test to the lab

and results. All dogs are required to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed. Please contact City Hall or the Police Department to

license your dogs.
