We read all of the study and Bible readings in class, so we have no homework, and anyone is invited to come as they are able. We are always open to new members. Project UEveryone has a unique perspective about what makes a great relationship thrive, and what a great relationship is. We want to hear what yours is! Each couple who participates in “Project U” will have their portrait taken in a place that is special to them. Then, they’ll do a short (4-7 minute) interview about what makes their relationship successful and lasting. The portrait and video will be showcased to the congregation. BeFriender Ministry“Love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12The BeFriender Ministry is a program that expands the pastoral care of Trinity Lutheran Church. The ministry recruits, trains and supervises congregation members who bring the caring presence of Jesus Christ through spiritual and emotional support. It is founded on the principles of trust, mutuality and confidentiality. BeFrienders serve those who may be homebound, hospitalized, in nursing homes or who are grieving any kind of loss. In addition, they bring Holy Communion to those who request it. Sunshine Ministry A handmade birthday card is sent each year to Trinity people age 75 and older. A flower is also sent on landmark birthdays - 75, 80, 85, 90 and every year after. Community Meal Packing Event 2014 Nov. 8-12, 2014Meals from past packing events have been distributed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, New Jersey, Haiti, Tanzania, Philippines, Chile, and Mexico. Andersen Windows Corporation has graciously opened their doors to host our meal packing event at their headquarters in Oak Park Heights. All ages are welcome. Tanzania Scholarship & Education FundEducation is the key to an improved life for our Tanzanian partners. Public school is available only through grade six; beyond that students attend secondary school at their own expense. Trinity maintains a vibrant relationship with the Bomalang’ombe Secondary School of the Iringa Diocese. Within that partnership, Trinity provides the opportunity for many students to move forward in their educational goals. Each student’s tuition is $400 per year.
