Pastoral and Teaching Resources Task Group

Purpose of the Task Group:

To research and recommend:

• Pastoral resources to prepare couples for ceremonies of blessing

• Teaching resources to prepare congregations for ceremonies

Page 15: Fall 2010 House of Bishops Meeting

And to consult with the House of Bishops in that process.

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music, in consultation with the House of Bishops, collect and develop theological and liturgical resources . . .

Therefore . . .As Chief Pastor and Teacher for your

diocese:

• What pastoral and teaching resources do you most need in your diocesan context?

Page 16: Fall 2010 House of Bishops Meeting

And as a bishop knowledgeable about your diocese and the wider church . . .

• What are your and/or others’ best practices for preparing same-gender couples for the blessing of their relationships?

• What are your and/or others’ best practices for helping a church take seriously the ministry of supporting all couples in their commitment to Christ and to each other?

With thanks in advance for your help with data gathering

and insights both now and in the months to come!
