Out of Mr. Smiths 17 years of teaching math he has taught 11 of them at Hillcrest. This outstanding man has loves

teaching 8 th graders (although he doesnt know why) and has only spent one year teaching 7 th graders. Mr. Smith

says that every class period is his favorite; he likes all of them so much that he couldnt pick one of them. Seeing

his students succeed makes him the feel that he has accomplished something

and has done his job. He least enjoys having to see his students fail theirs

grades or not achieve their goals. If Mr. Smith had the choice to give tests he

said Thats all I would give to my students. Not only does teaching math

help him at school it also helps him with his everyday life when he is at the

grocery store and other everyday places. His idea of a perfect student would be

one that is quiet, listens and does well with his grades. Sadly enough, this great

teacher will only teach for one more year following retirement.
