545 - Technology Application in
Christian Education
This workshop will present real applications which can be used to provide
training and online classes within and beyond the walls of our churches. It
will highlight existing online training applications that can be used in
specific situations, with a goal to reach individuals and groups who cannot
be at a common location for a class or meeting.
One presbytery’s model for purchasing equipment and providing training
will be shared. This workshop centers on the Scripture: “I was hungry and
you gave me food,” where in this case, the food is knowledge and access.
I am Ruling Elder with Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, Raleigh, NC,
and standing become a Commissioned Ruling Elder. I am a member of our
Adult Christian Education Committee, member and past chairman of the
Presbytery ConnectEd Christian Education Committee and a current
member of the APCE Communications and Resource Team.
