MINI LIT CIRCLES• This week we will be in mini literature circles – prep for Shakespeare!• Each group will have about 6 people in it• Here’s the plan for the week:

• Monday: Read and annotate a fairy tale, and pull out a symbol in the fairy tale and explain it with evidence (vocab term: “explicate.” Each member explicates a different symbol)

• Tuesday: Create a DIDLS and explain the tone of the fairy tale

• Thursday: Elements of a Fairy Tale. Fill out sheet and identify elements and how they move the story

• Friday: Create a “movie poster” and words to go along as a live trailer for your story and present it to class
