The DREHMO Fail Safe system has been developed for emergency cases in which a valve/ damper has to be moved quickly into the fail safe position (position “OPEN” or position “CLOSED). While the valve/ damper in normal cases is moved by our electric DREHMO actuator it will be driven in emergency cases by a loaded coil spring which makes the emergency operation very fast and independent from electrical power supply. The extremely short closing times of below 1 sec can be adjusted if requested, by a hydraulic brake.
