TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is designed for gastroenterologists, GI surgeons,

internists and family practice physicians with an interest in

gastroenterology and hepatology.

PURPOSE AND CONTENT

This program was designed to provide attendees current

information on how to recognize symptoms and use current data

to establish diagnosis and formulate the appropriate treatment

plans. Several topics will be presented at a live, one day sym-

posium through lectures and question and answer sessions by

experts in the field of gastroenterology.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

• Describe new endoscopic options in weight management

• Identify indications and side effects of PPI treatments

• Apply quality indicators in gastroenterology practice

• Review the functional classification of ROME IV, with new

treatment options

• Interpret motility tracings and apply Chicago classification

for motility disorders

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is accredited

by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to

provide continuing medical education for physicians.

DESIGNATION STATEMENT

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas

designates this continuing education activity for a maximum of

7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only
