About the About the FFacultyaculty
The Faculty of Philosophy was founded in 1954. With the Faculty of Agriculture, it is one of the oldest faculties
of the University of Novi Sad. There are 330 full-time professors and teaching associates,
with 95 employed as non-teaching staff.

On 1st December 2009 the Faculty celebrated its 55th anniversary by organising the Fifth
International Interdisciplinary Symposium Encounter of Cultures which brought together
around 200 scholars in the Humanities and Social Sciences for a day of intellectual debate, cultural
experience and networking.

Student ParliamentStudent Parliament The Student Parliament is the Faculty body through which students exercise their rights and advocate and safeguard their interests.
The Student Parliament is open to the public.
Members of the Student Parliament are elected once a year in accordance with the Rules of Procedure approved by the Teaching and Scholarly Council of the Faculty.
Elected members serve for a one-year term.
