Last season, Bryson DeChambeau was a combined 47-under in the FedExCup Playoffs. DeChambeau’s 47-under relative to par score was the best of any player last season and tied with Jordan Spieth’s 2017 performance for the third-best cumulative score to par during the FedExCup Playoffs. Tiger Woods played the FedExCup Playoffs a combined 59-under par in 2007 and still stands as the FedExCup record.
Since 2009, Tiger Woods is the only #1 seed entering the TOUR Championship to go onto to win the FedExCup. Last season, Bryson DeChambeau entered the TOUR Championship #1 in the standings eventually finishing 19th at the TOUR finale and 3rd in the final FedExCup standings.

Last season, Bryson DeChambeau finished the FedExCup Playoffs a combined 47-under par and third in the FedExCup standings. In the 2014 FedExCup Playoffs, Billy Horschel finished the Playoffs a combined 34-under par en route to his FedExCup title, becoming just the second player (third time) to have the best cumulative score to par during the FedExCup Playoffs and win the FedExCup title in same season (Tiger Wood accomplished this in both of his FedExCup titles). Tiger Woods and Paul Casey are the only two players who have led the FedExCup Playoffs
multiple times in this category.
Lowest Ranked FedExCup Champion Entering Playoffs: Billy Horschel entered the 2014 FedExCup Playoffs ranked 69th marking the lowest rank by a FedExCup Champion since the start of the FedExCup Playoffs in 2007 (next lowest ranked player was Rory McIlroy in 2016 ranked 36th). Billy fell to the 80th position after missing the cut at THE NORTHERN TRUST. After a change in his putting grip he completely turned around his game finishing T2 at the Dell Technologies Championship moving to 20th in the FEC standings. He made a dramatic move into the top-five with his victory at the BMW Championship. He then went on to win the TOUR Championship and took home the FedExCup title.
Last season, Tony Finau played his first 13 rounds of the FedExCup Playoffs a combined 45-under par and all 13 rounds in the 60s, marking the most consecutive rounds in the 60s in the FedExCup Playoffs.

PGA TOUR Rookies: Last season, Aaron Wise was the 12th PGA TOUR Rookie to qualify for the TOUR Championship in the FedExCup era. In the 2015-16 season marked the first time two Rookies earned a spot inside the top 30 of the FEC standings. Emiliano Grillo & Si Woo Kim finished 11th & 17th respectively.
In 2014, Chesson Hadley was the only Rookie in the FedExCup Playoffs and finished 49th in the standings. Jordan Spieth finished 7th in the final standings of the 2013 season marking the second-highest finish by a rookie in FedExCup history. Rickie Fowler finished the 2010 FedExCup Playoffs ranked 32nd (best finish by 2010 Rookie). Marc Leishman was the only 2009 rookie to make it to the TOUR Championship (finished 20th in the standings). Andres Romero was the only rookie to advance to the TOUR Championship in 2008, while Brandt Snedeker was the only rookie to advance in 2007. *Snedeker, Romero, Leishman, Fowler, Bradley, Huh, Spieth, Schauffele and Wise all went onto win Rookie of the Year honors in each respective season.

Advancing from Outside the Cutline in 2 Consecutive Weeks In 2009 and 2010, Marc Leishman and Andres Romero were the only two players to advance from outside the cut line in two consecutive weeks of the Playoffs. In 2009 Leishman entered the Dell Technologies Championship outside the top 70 (93rd) moving to 67th with a T-15th finish. He then vaulted 51 spots, (from 67th to 16th) on a T-2nd finish at the BMW Championship advancing to the TOUR Championship. In 2010, Romero began THE NORTHERN TRUST outside the top 100 (115th) moving to 100th with a T-52nd finish. He then moved from 100th to 68th at the Dell Technologies Championship with a T-11th finish. In 2011 both Ernie Els and Chris Stroud were the only 2 players to advance from outside the cut line in 2 consecutive weeks of the 2011 FedExCup Playoffs. Els was the only player who entered the Wyndham Championship (was 126th) outside the top 125. Both Els and Stroud were eliminated at the BMW Championship. Geoff Ogilvy was the only player to advance from outside the cut line in each of the last 2 weeks of the 2011 FedExCup Playoffs. Ogilvy began the Dell Technologies Championship ranked 91st and moved up to 69th. At the 2011 BMW Championship he moved from 69th to 24th with his solid final round performance. Ogilvy began his 2011 FedExCup Playoffs campaign ranked 79th and entered the TOUR Championship ranked 24th (lowest ranked entering the 2011 FEC Playoffs to make the TOUR Championship). In 2012, 2013, 2015 & 2016 no player advanced from outside the cutline in two consecutive weeks of the FedExCup Playoffs. Last season, Harold Varner III was the only player who moved inside the cutline from entering outside the cutline in two consecutive weeks of the 2017 FedExCup Playoffs. Varner III moved from 138th to 123rd at the Wyndham Championship then moved from 123rd to 91st at THE NORTHERN TRUST. Advancing from Outside the Cutline in 3 Consecutive Weeks 2014: Morgan Hoffmann was the first player in the history of the FedExCup Playoffs to play his way from outside of the cut line in each of the first 3 FedExCup Playoff events. In the 10-year history of the Playoffs, 6 players have played their way from the outside in two consecutive weeks, but Hoffmann is the first to accomplish this feat in 3 consecutive weeks. Hoffman went onto finish T-27th at the TOUR Championship finishing a career best 26th in the FedExCup.

In the 12-year history of the Playoffs, six players have played their way from the outside in two consecutive weeks, but Hoffman is the first to accomplish this feat in three consecutive weeks.
