Ask them to choose one of those goals to focus on each. 1 partner needs to work on their goal, the role of the other partner is to “coach” them using only question’s that are useful (i.e. visionary and planning). Eye contact exercise – pair up and sit/stand back to back. Have 3 conversations. Conversation 1 – talk about a movie you have seen recently. Conversation 2 - talk about how to powerfully impact the culture in your team/organization. Conversation 3 – talk about your views on abortion. Debrief – major point is how much you listen with your eyes and how difficult it is to listen when you looking at someone else.

Coach-ability and meta are as important as coaching and we will be tracking the roles played to ensure each person has opportunity in each role. Prepare delegates for what to expect. Only listening and supporting will be benchmarked. Delegates will not receive a benchmark at this stage, but more supportive awareness and feedback from the bench-marker to assist their development. Just ask vision and planning questions for now. Clients are to use one of their goals defined before training or new topic they have identified. Set up frames of the role of the bench-marker:
