Sponsored Story
Facebook Ad
Sponsored Story vs. Facebook Ad
Sponsored Stories:
Ad format that turns your friend’s actions into promoted content. For example, you can pay to have a percentage of all check-ins to your dealership show as a sponsored story. You will not see your own content, but will see content of customers checking in.
Sponsored Story vs. Facebook Ad
Facebook Ads:
Unlike sponsored stories, Facebook Ads include custom content from the advertiser and not the activity of a friend or fan.
Creating Your Ad
Choose a title for your ad, insert ad content, and choose a clean and crisp picture friendly to the viewers eye.
Ad Targeting
Facebook ads allow advertisers to target by location, gender, sex, education, status, and interests
Budgeting
How much will my ad cost?
When advertising on Facebook, you have total control over your spending. Set a daily spending limit so you don’t go over your allowance.
CPC or CPM?
What is CPC?
CPC is short for Cost Per Click. In terms of advertising, you are charged each time someone clicks on your ad. Best used for selling products, services, and generating leads.
What is CPM?
CPM is short for cost per one thousand impressions (cost per one thousand page views). Use if you want your ad exposed to as many people as possible with no action requirement or desire for click through rate.
Bidding
After your ad is set up and your targeted audience is complete, you will need to set a price that you are willing to pay per click or per one thousand impressions. A suggested bid range will populate with a suggested price appropriate for you ad.
Facebook charges the amount that is required for your ad to win the auction, which may be lower than you maximum bid.
Track Your Performance
Facebook allows advertisers to track their progress throughout the duration of their campaign.
