Face Adrenalin: company profile January 2016 Why we do what we do Our purpose: give people the most amazing experience of their lives. We’re having a great time, we love facing our fears and overcoming them, and we love helping other people do the same. What we do We run the world’s highest natural bungy jump - on Africa's highest bridge - and we offer walking tours of the bridge, too. We keep everyone safe, treat everyone with respect, help everyone have fun. Some facts The Bloukrans Bridge is 216 meters high. When you bungy Bloukrans, you’ll free-fall to a maximum of about 160 metres (depending on your weight and the cord you jump on). We secure you in a full-body harness combined with ankle connection to ensure your safety. We use pendulum bungy technology (the cord is secured to the opposite side of the bridge from the launch platform) so that you’ll enjoy the smoothest, most comfortable bungy on the planet. When the cord pulls you out of your free-fall, you’ll immediately segue into a huge pendulum swing as you rebound towards the bridge. After your bungy, you’ll be retrieved by a member of our crew via winch and cable. We offer single jumps only (no tandems): this is a very personal journey from fear to elation. Our walking tours of the Bloukrans Bridge are designed for people who prefer not to jump, but who nevertheless want the experience of walking out to the top of the bridge’s arch via our suspended mesh walkway (which is attached to the underside of the road deck). We’re open every day of the year. Some records The Bloukrans Bungy is the highest commercial bungy bridge in the world. It’s also the highest commercial natural bungy jump in the world. In 2008, Veronica Dean made 19 bungy jumps in one hour at Bloukrans, and Bill Boshoff performed 101 jumps in one 24-hour period. In 2011 Scott Huntley set the world record at Bloukrans: 107 jumps in 24 hours. By the end of December 2015, 292,831 people had bungeed Bloukrans (we opened the bridge for bungy in 1997, although we introduced commercial bungy jumping to South Africa in 1990). Our safety record: 100% accident-free.
