Armatile, is specialist retailer and distributor, with a bespoke fabrication and in-house tile design facility located in

Northern Ireland.

Our bespoke fabrication services enable clients to think beyond standard porcelain tile installations. We create

customised tiles designs and unique products to suit clients’ exacting specifications and projects.

Using industrial saws and waterjet cutting technology we precision cut, mitre, groove, edge and shape even the

hardest porcelain tiles and slabs (from 6mm up to 20mm); fabricating high quality stair treads to complement all types

of interior or exterior tiling schemes.

Our fabrication processes enable us to create a wide variety of stair treads, edges, nosings, risers and slip resistant

finishes for every type of application. We also create porcelain pool edges and drainage channel covers for that

complete luxurious, seamless surface aesthetic.

The Edges and Nosings

Our skilled team fabricate stair treads with a selection of nosings and edges;

1. Round Edge (RE) 2. Mitred Tread with 40mm Facing Edge (ME40)

3. Mitred Gradone Tread with 40mm Facing Edge (GRAD40)

Note: The colour of the fabricated round edge will depend on the base colour of the porcelain tile rather then the finished surface on it

Note: Standard Facing Edge depth is 40mm. Other sizes are available on request

Note: Mitred edge stair treads are micro-bevelled to prevent potential damage and chipping during use

Stair Tread Anti-Slip Safety Strip Options

Armatile’s fabricated tile products and surfaces are designed to meet your specific performance requirements. From

the earliest design stage we will advise on material properties, slip resistance, strength and durability, to ensure the

best fabricated solution for your individual project needs.

Stair treads can be fabricated with a variety of additional anti-slip grooves and inserts (resin or metal options) to suit

individual design and tiling schemes.
