The material that I chose to mork with was cardboard. Thismaterial is practical, resistant and you can change the furniturewhen you want because is a recycled material.

I chose to work with it on the entire FabLAb, not only on thefurniture, but also for the ceiling and the decorative objects.

Material- Cardboard

ConceptThe idea behind the concept is that FabLAb is a place where everyonehas to be able to learn how to use different machines to build "almostanything". FabLAb is a place where people can meet, talk, work together, exchange information, share experiences and knowledge.

FabLab is about movment and change. Is a dynamic space, where peoplecome, create, interact and then leave. So the place have to be able to offer the possibility to be changeddepending on needs.

As a reference I used the Flexible Love designed by Chishen Shiu. Hecreated a chair made entirely of recycled cardboard, which can stretch forup to 16 people, and then shrink, almost disappearing when not needed. It expands like an accordion allowing a maximum of flexibility and agreat variety of form. The benches you can create by opening FlexibleLove can be curved or linear, also allowing adaptability to differentenvironments.
