Today, the human eye!gaze can be recorded by

relatively unremarkable techni$ues. This thesis

argues that it is possible to use the eye!gaze o%

a computer user in the inter%ace to aid the

control o% the application.

&are must be taken, though, that eye!gaze

tracking data is used in a sensible way, since

the nature o% human eye!movements is acombination o% several voluntary and involuntary

cognitive processes.
