exercises or not. Some of the popular eye exercises include:

Palm your eyes: this exercise is known to de-stress your eyes.

Take a chair sit on it, close your eyes and put your palm on the eyes and

gently press it. Make sure that the pressure is medium. Don’t exert too

much pressure otherwise you will end up hurting your eyes.

Palm your eyes for few seconds before you remove your hand. Do this 3-4

times. The pressure exerted will spread the tear film in your eyes evenly

and relax them.

Do this exercise, all the while thinking about a calming scene.

Massage your eyes: this exercise is known to increase blood

circulation around the eyes.

To massage your eyes, use hot and cold compress. Place the warm towel

over the eyes; keep it there for 3 minutes before you place the cold towel.

The alternating temperature will cause vasoconstriction and vasodilatation

that in turn will stimulate the skin around the eyes thereby improving blood

circulation.

Near and far focusing: this exercise is great for maintaining

the current eye vision.

Stand in front of a wall and place an object at a distance of 5-10 feet away

in front of your face. Now focus on it. Do this for 10-15 seconds.

Now place another object at a distance of 10-20 feet in front of your face.

Now focus on it. Do this for 10-15 seconds.

After 15 seconds, refocus the object and carry out the exercise all over

again.

Make a figure 8 with your eyes: this exercise helps to

control the physical movement of your eye.

Try imagining 8 with your eyes. Instead of writing it down, try practicing it

out with your eyes. You will feel how your eye ball moves and how you can

control the movement.
