I  chose  these  photographs  as  they  drew  me  in  with  their  flawless  skin  tones.  I  am  also  interested  in  the  idea  of  the  women  being  covered    in  unusual  objects  crea@ng  a  sense  of  mystery.  

This  photograph  truly  intrigued  me  as  it  looks  like  a  projec@on  as  been  used  onto  her  chest  and  I  have  been  learning  to  do  this    at  college  and  it  is  a  skill  I  really  enjoy.  This  image  is  very  elegant  because  of  the  pale  colours  used  to  set  a  nice  calm  vibe  and  as  for  the  texture  on  her  chest  looks  like  the  reflec@on  from  an  ocean,  sea  or  water.      The  red  on  her  lips  stands  out  the  most  because  of  all  the  fair  colours  around  her,  red  is  also  the  colour  for  danger  but  in  a  women's  case  its  red  lips@ck  this  could  signify  power.  Also  the  colours  that  are  shown  on  her  skin  tone,  hair  colour,  and  eye  colour  all  blend  in  with  the  natural  coloured  background  this  could  be  classes  as  camouflaged.    

My  Extra  Ordinary  Photographs    

Here  I  got  a  friend  of  mine  to  have  a  leopard  print  pa:ern  onto  her  face  I  chose  to  take  this  photo  in  colour  as  it  shows  the  bright  colour  of  her  skin  and  natural  colour  of  her  eye.  I  used  nega@ve  space  because  I  thought  her  best  feature  was  her  eye.  Why  did  you  choose  leopard  print?    

I  put  this  on  in  black  and  white  to  get  the  detail  of  the  eye,  also  put  the  flash  on  which  helped  get  all  detail  in  one  photo.  Also  used  nega@ve  space  to  concentrate  on  the  eye.  

My  idea  to  wrap  the  hair  around  the  face  was  to  make  the  face  more  interes@ng  also    with  the  animal  print  emerging  down  the  face.  I  used  the  camera  angle  so  it  would  focus  on  the  eye  as  it  was  the  models  best  feature.  

The  hair  being  wrapped  all  over  the  face  bases  a  feeling  of  being  trapped  or  not  being  able  to  escape  that’s  what  I  feel  this  image  represents.  Also  puTng  them  in  black  and  white  give  the  photograph  a  sense  of  darkness.

My  inten@on  when  taking  this  photograph  was  to  capture  the  eye  in  close  up  and  layered  over  a  photograph  of  the  face.  This  image  really  reminds  me  of  being  posed    also  the  colour  being  in  black  and  white  gives  the  photographs  more  darkness.    Both  photographs  are  sharp  in  focus  as  I  needed  the  lines  and  curves  of  the  images  to  be  perfect  so  when  I  placed  them  onto  each  other  you  could  see  them  both  properly.    If  I  was  to  reshoot  my  photograph  I  would  have  tried  some  different  techniques  like  using  nega@ve  space  or  camera  posi@on.  I  think  the  strong  pa:erns  on  the  image  is  the  outline  of  the  eye  also  the  eyelashes,  because  there  black  they  stand  out  more  onto  the  pale  bits  of  the  image.      

Bela  Borsdi  

Bela  Borsodi  was  born  in  Vienna  1966.  A[er  studying  graphic  design  and  fine  art  he  started  to  work  as  a  photographer.  In  1992  Bela  moved  to  New  York  and  in  1999  he  focused  on  s@ll  life  photography,  which  is  s@ll  the  main  direc@on  of  his  work.  Bela  lives  and  works  in  New  York.

My  Photography  

The  photographs  I  have  taken  are  inspired  by  Bela  borsdi    as  I  used  the  accessories  idea  in  a  different  view,  in  a  not  so  sexual  view  as  the  photographs  the  ar@st  produced.  I  think  the  weakness  of  these  photographs  are  that  they  were  done  in  a  rush  and  do  not  have  all  the  detail  and  effort  I  would  have  liked  but  also  doing  them  in  a  rush  is  another  technique  that  has  been  used  in  my  project  as  exploring  techniques  is  a  well  benefi:ed  idea.  

Evalua@on  I  took  these  photos  inspired  by  Bela  Borsodi  because  the  jewelry    is  something  that  really  struck  me  as  it  would  any  girl  who  enjoys  fashion,  The  photograph  has  its  ups  and  downs,  its  nega@ves  and  posi@ves  In  this  image  It  contrasted  really  well  against  the  models  skin  colour  as  she  is  a  pale  white  and  puTng  the  image  in  black  and  white  the  dark  colours  make  the  white  colours  brighter,  the  weakness  are  that  some  people  may  find  the  angle  of  the  image  slightly  abnormal  because  its  not  normally  what  you  would  look  at  when  you  flick  through  a  magazine  or  a  book  for  example.    I  think  these  photographs  really  stand  out  because  of  the  harsh  tones  of    the  black  and  white  colours.
