Hamilton County has almost no high-speed Broadband availability

Step OneExtend Middle Mile Broadband fromTupper Lake to Long Lake

• Extend fiber from Tupper Lake to Long Lake.

• Install wireless repeaters and/or partner with local cable provider to cover the residences and central businesses in Long Lake.

• Fixed wireless service available in homes & businesses.

• Potential residential subscriber base >1,400.

• Based on Keene experience, expect a high degree of acceptance.

Last Mile Broadband Connectivity Has Multiplying Benefits for Rural ADK Park Communities

1. Seasonal home owners stay longer. Extending the average stay as little as one week could add 10% to the summer economy (from 6-8 weeks to 7-9 weeks).

2. More visitors and vacation home renters are attracted because access to high-speed Broadband allows them to enjoy the Adirondacks without being cut-off from the outside world.

3. The number of people who are able to work out of their home increases. I.e. Gradual conversion of some seasonal residents to permanent status.

4. Additional full time equivalent job growth due to the company supplying the new Broadband connectivity.

5. Enhanced opportunity for businesses to take advantage of Broadband availability.
