trade. Tradition based on the development of these two industries, along with tourism, which has arrived to us slightly later, in the best possible way heritage continues to develop AD Adriatic Fair “- he said during the opening ceremony of the 34th Nautic Show. The mayor of Budva Dr. Srdja Popovic noted that:“Following the economic trends, the Adriatic Fair AD has developed its activities in the country and abroad, but what has always remained as “a framework of recognition” in its development

are loyal exhibitors and the city of Budva. Today we have the opportunity to attend another important event organised by “Adriatic Fair”, the boat show and equipment for sport, camping and recreation. “

Given the fact that Montenegro is a maritime country, a country with famous sailors and sea captains, Popovic said that it is not surprising that, thanks to such events, Budva seeks to preserve and keep up with the world when it comes to nautical tourism - one

of the most important segments of the tourism industry, which our city and our country develop in an appropriate manner. With the belief that Budva, as a beautiful Mediterranean city, is a good host for this event, Popovic said:The “Adriatic fair” sees its future as an important partner for both the local and international economies. In this way I wish every success to exhibitors at the boat show - ample business success and satisfaction with the results “- and declared the 34th Nautic Show open.

We have spoken with PhD Dragan Klarić who is just fi nalising his book on the subject of sports tourism in Montenegro at the NAUTIC SHOW - Sport, Camping and Recreation Equipment Fair. “The topic of my doctoral dissertation was “Prospects for the development of sports tourism on the Montenegrin coast” and the fact is that sports tourism development is a great success for Montenegro. “I am convinced that sports tourism can extend the tourist season, since most of the activities in sports tourism currently take place in the winter months, or outside the main tourist season“.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF NAUTICAL TOURISM IS A BIG OPPORTUNITY, EVEN AN IMPERATIVENautical tourism is one of the sports tourism segment and, given the fact that we live with sea, it is most natural to develop nautical tourism and sports that

are moulded together with the sea and water.Unfortunately, I am under the impression that those who decide on tourism in Montenegro did not recognise the opportunities for the development of sports tourism, since there would be more sporting events, more nautical events, regattas and other water sports in Budva and other Montenegrin towns, thus enhancing tourism and making our tourist product even more prosperous. Nature itself has given Montenegro everything necessary for sports tourism, and it is up to us to recognise its importance and make it grow.

REPRESENTATIVE OF THE "DAYS OF CROATIAN SHIPBUILDING" ASSOCIATION VISITED ADRIATIC FAIR

CHIEF EXECUTIVE BUJKOVIĆ AT THE FAIR OF TECHNICS AND TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENTS IN BELGRADE

Damir Skelin, a representative of “Days of Croatian Boatbuilding” association which organises an homonymous event in the marine of the hotel “Lav” in Podstrana, Split has been on a working visit to the NAUTIC SHOW for the past two days.

“Physically, the Fair takes place in one area of 600m along the walk of which about 250m is reserved for ships both on land and in the sea. The part in the sea is very important, because of a test drive, because people are not inclined to buy if they are not able to test the boat, and we have primacy over other trade fairs as far as this is concerned, as this is the beginning of the season, and it is the time

when a decision about a purchase is made and the testing option is also off ered. People are often surprised when they come to the Fair and see no ships, and wonder where they are, and we say that they are in the sea, being tested and it is indeed a great advantage that leads to the fi nal result. On the last day, when we ask for feedback, more or less all boats are sold or a couple of them agreed.” - said Skelina. In terms of the Fair of Tourist Attractions, some have seen a chance to start their own small business. “Part which relates to tourist attractions draws the beach segment and has really brought a new freshness to the project, and attracted a large number of people who came to see it. Considering the fact it is an open type of exhibition, about 40,000 people came during the four days. This off er sparks much more reaction from visitors or companies that buy for business use or renting. Lots of kayaks are sold, sub boards for rowing,

classical glider boards, electric tricycles, barrows, segways, electric bikes which are bought by many, especially people who live on the islands buy a few, and somehow start their small business.“ Skelin said that the 34th Nautic Show is considered to show that off er corresponds to the demand. “I like this Fair’s longevity and continuity. I’m just sorry it’s not larger than it was last year, associated with the Tourism Fair, because it seemed like a good and logical connection. The depth of the off er is adequate to what the market can bear, respectively our economic situation.”

Director of Adriatic Fair, PhD Rajko Bujković, met with the Executive Vice President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Valjevo Peter Nikolic and President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy -

County Chamber of Pula ,Jasna Jaklin Majetić, at the on-going fair of Technics and Technical achievements at the stand of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

They used the opportunity to to exchange information which can serve for improve co-operation when it comes to the presentation of the regional economy through international trade fair platform that off ered the Adriatic Fair in Budva. He also discussed co-

operation in the framework of the upcoming fair events, primarily Civil Engineering, Energy, Water-Water Supply Systems-Sanitary Technologies and Small and Medium Enterprise Fairs.

Not often is it heard from a company to the Department of Marketing to resist introducing accurate indicators that would measure the success of their actions and campaigns. From the start should there be eff orts to achieve more precise measurement of the eff ectiveness of investments in participating in trade Fairs? The default is to start from

the beginning, and that the objectives of Fair performance but when deciding on this form of sales promotion quantify. Quantifi cation of objectives for all participants in the organisation of Fair performance represents a safe guideline. I would add that the mere

assessment of performance must be fair and - critical.

What indicators of success could we use? The simplest indicator is the

cost per contact. You can import and one sub-indicator with which to measure the cost of the new contact (admit, the Fairs have a number of meetings with old partners and those you invited). We recommend also you compare the cost of Fair participation from sales to new customers, with whom you have contact achieved at the Fair, but in the period "t". However, contracts of sale require post-Fair contacts and sales discussions,

so that this indicator should be accompanied by changes in sales usually for a period of six months after certain Fairs, and for some goods (machines, durable goods, investment goods), this period may be one full year.
