Every year, 400,000 people

One of the most representative
examples of these products is the
Olyset® Net, which Sumitomo
Chemical developed independently,
taking inspiration from Japan’s
traditional mosquito nets.
These nets not only protect people
from being bitten by mosquitoes, but
they also gradually release
chemicals similar to those used in
mosquito coils to eradicate
mosquitoes.
It has been endorsed by the World
Health Organization (WHO).
Since production began in 2002,
around 300 million nets have been
used in more than 80 countries,
saving the lives of 560,000 people!
Sumitomo Chemical will continue to
develop innovative products as it
strives to achieve the goal of the
eradication of malaria by 2030.

Decentralized and Dispersed Arrangement
The venue design features a dispersed facility arrangement without center, using the Voronoi pattern*. It reflects the vision of future society created by harmony and co-creation which will arise from individual relations and diversity.
The main street will connect 2 entrances and 5 large plazas, which will be covered by large roofs.
* Voronoi pattern : a basic and repetitive geometric pattern in nature which symbolizes organic linkage and growth
