WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
REFLECTION AND PREPARATION
Who is like you, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders?...The LORD will reign forever and ever.- Exodus 15:11, 18
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:9-11
*CALL TO WORSHIP | Psalm 96:1-4, 7, 9
(Leader) Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth!(All) Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. (Leader) Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. (All) Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength…Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!

*PRAYER OF ADORATION
CORPORATE CONFESSION
Let us pray:
Lord God Almighty, holy is your wisdom, power, mercy, ways, and work. How can we stand before you with our numberless and aggravated offenses? We have often loved darkness, observed lying vanities, forsaken your given mercies, ignored your beloved Son, mocked your providence, and broken your covenant. Lead us to repentance, and save us from despair...at the cross may we contemplate the evil of sin, and abhor it, look on him who was pierced, as one slain for us, and may our souls find rest in you - our God and our savior. Hear our prayer; in Christ’s name. Amen.
SILENT CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON | 1 Timothy 1:15a-b, 17
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

*SONG OF RENEWAL | Fountain of Never-Ceasing Grace Augustus M. Toplady | Parker Adams
Fountain of never-ceasing grace, your saints’ exhaustless themegreat object of immortal praise, essentially supreme,we bless you for the glorious fruits your incarnation gives, the righteousness which grace imputes, and faith alone receives. In you we have a righteousness by God himself approved;our rock, our sure foundation this, which never can be moved. Our ransom by your death was paid, for all your people giv’n,the law you perfectly obeyed, that they might enter heav’n.
As all, when Adam sinned alone, in his transgression died,so by the righteousness of One are sinners justified;we to your merit, gracious Lord, with humblest joy submit, again to paradise restored, in you alone complete.
PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD Elder Charlie Nave

*SONG OF FAITH | Hallelujah! Raise, O Raise Josiah Conder, 1789-1855 | Parker Adams
Hallelujah! Raise, O raise to our God the song of praise; All his servants join to sing God our Savior and our King.
Blessed be forever more that dread name which we adore;Round the world his praise be sung through all lands in every tongue.
O’er all nations God alone higher than the heavens his throne.Who is like to God Most High, infinite in Majesty! Infinite in Majesty!
Praise his Name! Forever Praise his Holy Name!Praise his Name! Forever Praise his Holy Name!
Yet to view the heavens he bends; yea, to earth he condescends,Passing by the rich and great for the low and desolate.
He can raise the poor to stand with the princes of the land;Wealth upon the needy shower set him with the high in power.
He the broken spirit cheers: turns to joy the mourner’s tears;Such the wonders of his ways; praise His name, forever praise!
Praise his Name! Forever Praise his Holy Name!Praise his Name! Forever Praise his Holy Name!

*SONG OF FAITH | Arise, My Soul Arise Charles Wesley | Kevin Twit, 1996
Arise, my soul, arise, shake off your guilty fears; The bleeding sacrifice, on my behalf appears; Before the throne my Surety stands, before the throne my Surety stands, My name is written on his hands.
Chorus: Arise (arise), arise (arise), arise. Arise, my soul, arise. Arise (arise), arise (arise), arise. Arise, my soul, arise. Shake off your guilty fears and rise
He ever lives above, for me to intercede; His all redeeming love, his precious blood, to plead; His blood atoned for every race, his blood atoned for every race, And sprinkles now the throne of grace. (Chorus)
Five bleeding wounds he bears; received on Calvary; They pour effectual prayers; they strongly plead for me: “Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry, “Forgive him, O forgive,” they cry, “Nor let that ransomed sinner die!” (Chorus)
My God is reconciled; his pardoning voice I hear;He owns me for his child; I can no longer fear With confidence I now draw nigh, with confidence I now draw nigh, And “Father, Abba, Father,” cry. (Chorus)
SERMON | The Lord Reigns | 1 Samuel 5:1-7:2 Rev. Andrew Martin
(Pastor) This is the Word of the Lord.(All) Thanks be to God.

THE LORD’S SUPPER | See comments below We come forward by row to receive the elements. Wine is found in red cups (outer ring), grape juice in clear cups (inside rings). Gluten free wafers are available in both serving lines. If you are unable to come forward, please notify the server walking around with the elements. You are welcome to participate in the Lord’s Supper if you are a baptized Christian and a member of an evangelical church. If this does not describe you, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer to consider your relationship to Jesus Christ. We also ask that children who have not yet publicly professed their faith in Christ refrain from partaking until doing so. The Lord’s Supper is a time for our faith to be strengthened and our hope renewed.
Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken Henry Lyte, 2001 | Bill Moore
Jesus, I my cross have taken, all to leave and follow thee.Destitute, despised, forsaken, thou from hence my all shall be.Perish every fond ambition, all I’ve sought or hoped or known.Yet how rich is my condition! God and heaven are still my own.
Let the world despise and leave me, they have left my Savior, too;Human hearts and looks deceive me; thou art not, like man, untrue; And, while thou shalt smile upon me, God of wisdom, love, and might,Foes may hate and friends may shun me; show thy face and all is bright.
Man may trouble and distress me, ‘twill but drive me to thy breast;Life with trials hard may press me; heav’n will bring me sweeter rest.Oh, ‘tis not in grief to harm me while thy love is left to me;Oh, ‘twere not in joy to charm me, were that joy unmixed with thee.
Take, my soul, thy full salvation, rise o’er sin and fear and care;Joy to find in ev’ry station something still to do or bear;Think what Spirit dwells within thee, what a Father’s smile is thine,What a Savior died to win thee: child of heaven, shouldst thou repine?
Hasten on from grace to glory, armed by faith, and winged by prayer;Heav’n’s eternal day’s before thee, God’s own hand shall guide thee there.Soon shall close thy earthly mission, swift shall pass thy pilgrim days,Hope shall change to glad fruition, faith to sight, and prayer to praise.

truths of Adoption, Sanctification, Saving Faith and Repentance unto Life.
Practically Reformed: Theology for All of LifeTaught by Chris Griffith
Do you know Jesus and not just a theory of what Jesus came to do?
It is impossible to encounter God’s saving grace and not be powerfully and permanently changed. John Calvin knew this. In this 5-part teaching series, we will seek to understand how Calvinism is a biblical, God-centered expression of the Christian faith with
important implications for our daily lives. This theology is not simply academic. It is a theology for
all of life—a theology in which the grace of Jesus Christ shapes everything.
