Take Flight
CANOPY ZIP-LINING (2 hours)
Soar through the forest canopy while safely suspended from a steel ca-
ble zip-line! Hotel Punta Islita’s tree-friendly adventure is set on ground
platforms and crisscrosses a deep canyon for spectacular views and a
generous rush of adrenaline.
TWILIGHT ZIP-LINING (2 hours)
Enjoy pure exhilaration for full bragging rights. Soaring over a tree-lined
canyon while shrouded by darkness provides an indescribable rush. In-
hale deeply as you take in the experience!

ISLITA RIDING TRAILS (2 hours)
Canter through Islita’s rugged surroundings including open fields, tropi-
cal dry forest, and black sand beaches. .
SUNSET RIDE (2 hours)
Let the bright hues of the Guanacaste sunset dazzle you as you traverse
the beach and enjoy the late afternoon ocean breeze.
ULTIMATE RIDING ADVENTURE (4 hours)
Reward your inner cowboy or cowgirl! Seasoned riding enthusiasts will
enjoy an exhilarating trek up rugged mountain trails with spectacular
ocean cove views as backdrop.

RIVER KAYAKING (Green Season. 3 hours)
Paddle down the gentle Ora River through a pristine swath of exciting tropi-
cal jungle until reaching El Carmen, a charming small village. Enjoy the sight
of different bird species and the occasional howler monkey.
MANGROVE KAYAKING (Dry Season. 3 hours)
Paddle through the Ora River’s peaceful mangrove and enjoy an out-of-this-
world landscape created by “trees on stilts”. After reaching the ocean, the
group enjoys 20 minutes at the Camaronal Wildlife Beach Refuge. The return
paddle up the Ora is assisted by the incoming tide.
KAYAKING EXPEDITION (5 hours)
Enjoy an intense adventure exploring the Coyote mangrove. Adjacent to a
beautiful, light-sanded beach, it rewards paddlers with a mysterious maze of
densely vegetated water channels.
Hang Ten
All levels are welcome! There is simply no other
sensation like gliding down the face of a
breaking wave. An experienced instructor will
teach basic techniques or guide you to the
area’s best surfing spots. Operated by third-
party community micro-entrepreneurs.

Unlid the Barrel
The raucous howler monkey is among the largest mon-
key species in the Americas. Its whooping growl can be
heard over a 3 mile radius, securing its status as the
loudest land animal. Highly social, howler monkeys
travel in groups of up to eighteen members. Your guide
will bring a spotting telescope to better enjoy a close-
up look at these fascinating creatures.

Witness a Miracle
An unforgettable adventure for all ages! Witness the captivat-
ing egg-laying ritual of endangered sea turtles. This nighttime
experience takes place in nearby Camaronal Beach where
you will search for turtles as they peacefully emerge from the
ocean. Your guide will use a special red light to avoid distur-
bance. Made possible by Hotel Punta Islita in partnership with
the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment and conservation
NGO’s.

rain. To ensure that you don’t miss a thing, your guide will bring binocu-
lars.

hike lets you experience the intriguing sights and sounds of nature’s

Enjoyment Tips
Sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat are always recommended. For horseback riding, we strongly recommend
long pants and closed shoes. Please ask our staff for recommendations specific to each experience. For cul-
tural discovery, please wear comfy clothes and shoes and bring a little money for shopping.
