The Southern Tanzania

safari circuit probably less

frequented compared to its

northern counterpart, but

it’s no less inspiring. With

more variety in its

landscape & a sense of

remoteness owing to less

travelers, the parks in south

have a feeling of pure

wilderness. As the wildlife

extended to a greater area,

it’s sensible to take in a

minimum 2 of the Tanzania

safari parks in south to

experience the best

adventure possible. Here’s a

brief look at south’s

highlights:

Ruaha National Park:

Now merged with the Usanga Game Reserve, Ruaha National Park

makes up the nation’s biggest conservation region. With an

exclusive central position, Ruaha allures wildlife from both the southern

and eastern climbs of Africa, and few highly rare species, for example,

African wild dog.

Saadani National Park:

Saadani considered as a distinctive safari destination in Tanzania,

being East Africa’s only national park to unite open savannah with

moving waves. Its offshore region presents mangrove swamps,

woodland and grasslands complimented by the Indian Ocean. This

exclusive blend of habitats brings an ideal amalgamation of wildlife such

as leopard, lion, hyena, giraffe, hippo, coral reefs and a range of

crocodiles.

Mikumi National Park:

The considerably tiny Mikumi National Pak positioned on

Selous Game Reserve’s border. Due to this partnership,

regardless of its minute dimension Mikumi enjoys a great

wildlife concentration, with elephant, lion, hippos, buffalo,

giraffe, zebra, leopard & a number of antelope species.Nestled

on the Mkata River’s flood plains, with Miombo woodland ruling the

peripheries, also Mikumi is home to a great range of bird species.

Udzungwa Mountain National Park:

It’s a wonderful destination for day tours, with a variety of hiking opportunity

for tourists that love a bit of adventure. Its jungles are home to many monkey

species and the lovely Sanje River waterfall offers the ideal photo shooting

opportunity. A superb addition to 1 of the southern circuit more than just

conventional parks, Udzungwa adds to a complete Tanzania safari package.

With all these things to enjoy, you should plan your Tanzania trip in advance for

the best possible experience.
