Chesterwood Estate Chesterwood provided a dreamlike setting offering views of the

rolling hills of the Berkshires, a formal garden for the ceremony

and a sprawling lawn for the gorgeous tent. Despite predictions,

and preparations for the contrary, the weather was perfect-and

no bride deserved a perfect day more than Miss Maggie. We de-

signed a wedding that Daniel Chester French, the original owner

of the property (and sculptor of the Lincoln Monument) would

have been proud of. All design decisions were made to ensure

that the look and feel of the wedding “fit” the space. Over the

course of a year, Maggie’s Mom collected different vessels for

centerpieces-either stucco or mercury glass-to create a perfect mix

of texture on every table. Flowers were abundant and each ar-

rangement was unique. Combined with the linen cloths every

table had a perfect blend of rustic and elegant. The sailcloth

Sperry tent glowed under the stars as guests danced the night

away.

Old Inn on the Green Take a bride that lives in Ghana, a groom that lives in Mali, parents

in Canada and the UK, add a very special Inn in the Berkshires and

you get a sweet country wedding with touches of the exotic. Ariane

and Stephen knew they wanted an old inn in the Berkshires and

they also knew they wanted to pay homage to their beloved Africa

and that is where we came in. By mixing elements of Colonial

New England with exotic touches like Moroccan lanterns, hand

carved teak animals and beautiful linens we were able to create a

stunning evening for their closest friends and family. The cere-

mony was at the New Marlborough Meeting House, a former

Quaker Meeting House and the guests took a short stroll to the

amazing Old Inn on the Green. Once at “the Inn” guests were

treated to world class cuisine from chef, Peter Platt. The tables

were beautiful with shades of creams, ivories and splashes of green

-all set in vintage silver pieces. The linen tablecloths offset every-

thing in shades of taupe, sage and a beautiful print. Each dining

room in the Inn created a dinner party feeling for the guests-

intimate and lovely and lit ENTIRELY with candlelight! The finish-

ing touch, after dancing the night away in a tent on the back ter-

race, was a most unusual wedding cake…a cheese cake! Not a

cheesecake, but rather tiers of the most amazing cheese-gorgeous

and delicious. As the evening winded down guests spilled onto the

front porch to enjoy the beautiful spring night in the Berkshires.

Garden Wedding at Gedney Farm Set on the beautiful property that is Gedney Farm, this wedding

utilized an unexpected color palette of charcoal and pink. Flow-

ers were the focus and the truly amazing Ariella Chezar created

the most beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets. Following

a simple ceremony, guests were invited to cocktails in the garden

outside the barn. Tables were dressed with vintage inspired lace

tablecloths and silk underlays. Rustic lanterns were tucked into

all corners of the garden, softened by lovely rose petals at the

base of the candles. Inside the barn guests were treated to two

photo galleries: one showcasing the groom’s work and one

showcasing family weddings through the years. The cake was

on display under a magnificent arrangement of towering flower-

ing branches and in lieu of a guestbook, guests hung tags on a

wishing tree. Dinner tables were draped in charcoal quilted taf-

feta and each table had a unique mix of vintage silver pieces

overflowing with the very best garden flowers one could ever

imagine! The result was that perfect juxtaposition that we love

between the rural feel of the venue and the elegant decor.
